About this house rental
Welcome to our Beach side Retreat, a cozy, private and well furnished 2 bedroom 2 bath home that is just steps from the beach, sand and surf. The house will comfortably accommodate up to 6 adults. PLEASE CHECK CALENDAR FOR AVAILABILITY BEFORE SUBMITTING AN INQUIRY AND PLEASE NOTE OUR SUMMER RATES.
HOUSE DESCRIPTION:
Two Stories: Entrance is on the first level, with the living room, kitchen, dining room and one bath. 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath upstairs. You can also enjoy the beautiful San Diego weather in our large shared but private courtyard with table, chairs and gas grills. Spacious and comfortable interior boasts cozy furnishings and a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops.
Master bedroom has a king-sized bed and the second bedroom has 2 queen-size beds.
Our garage also contains everything you need to enjoy your day at the Beach (including umbrellas, chairs, beach toys, boogie boards, etc).
LOCATION:
* A short minute's walk to the beach.
* Very close to downtown Oceanside and 10 minute walk to Oceanside Pier.
* Amtrack/Metrolink is also nearby. Some noise from the trains to be expected.
* It's about a 10 minute drive to Legoland and Carlsbad. 30 minutes drive south to San Diego, Sea World, San Diego Zoo and other SD attractions.
* Drive 90 minutes north to Disneyland, Universal Studios and other Orange County attractions.
You will enjoy the entire space to yourself, it's quiet with complete privacy.

We are owners at a nearby time share. Our daughter's family stayed in this condo. It is the second time they have used the facility, and they love being there. It is convenient to our condo, near the beach and in excellent condition. Thank you!

The home was fabulous. Even had a visit from the friendly neighborhood kitty. Previous tenants’ remarks about train noise was exaggerated. All we heard were distant bells and that’s only because we had windows open and tv off. No need to drive to beach or downtown. The walk was so close it was faster!!

This place has great potential. It has its pros and cons.
The neighborhood is nice. It is a bit of a walk to get to a beach. The ocean is close, but you can't access the beach to play on until further down, by the pier. It was too far to lug all the beach stuff for a day. The actual property outside is very nice and well kept. It is a beautiful area. If you go on a walk you will see there is an issue with many homeless in the area and no facilities for them to use. We understand that is what it is. It's just a con to the area.
The pictures were not an accurate depiction, in our opinion. The couch is falling apart and uncomfortable. I only slept in the master bed, so I can only speak for that one. You can feel the springs in the mattress and it was very firm. It needs at least a mattress topper. My husband and I never found a comfortable spot in the house. The place needs some more attention to detail. Grimy spots and hair on the walls. Drawers in the kitchen weren't the cleanest. Not all the dishes were clean, that were put away as clean. Linens and bedding, especially the comforters, were in need of an upgrade. Two had spots that looked like they weren't clean, but they look 20 years old. With the mishmash of towels and dishes it feels almost like your staying at grandma's. The dining chairs are cloth and gross. The grime and old linens kind of kept us from feeling “at home". All of those things are pretty easily fixable. I'd stay in the place again if I knew it was updated and better taken care of.
I will say, the owner was very easy to work with. All of that was a breeze.
