We loved the breakfast and the choice of having it outside, looking at the beautiful lavender fields, that sadly were already cut. The garden is very spacious, there are many choices for seating and relaxing. The old house has been done and decorated and has a lot of interesting beautiful details, corners, windows, etc.
Very confortable bathroom with two sinks, the shower is big.
Invited to use of tea-coffee maker and fridge in the common room, we made pic-nick in the garden a couple of times.
One of the nights there was no breeze and the host offered a fan for our room.
On arrival I asked for a small table for our room and the host provided it on the spot.
Ferrassieres is a very small village, surrounded by lavender fields. If you love walking in the peace and quiete, go for it.
Because is an old building, our bathroom was located in the corridor, but the host made it "private" separating our area from the other guests.
Ferrassieres has a restaurante but has no grocery shop, then you have to plan in advance about your meals.

We loved everything about this stay! First off, who wouldn't want to stay in a beautifully restored 400+ year old chateau? We had the bottom floor to ourselves with our adult children. Christine keeps everything so clean and tidy. She was like a little sprite looking after us. We hardly saw her as she respected out privacy, but our fresh breakfast with croissants, fruit, yogurt, and homemade jams (made by Chistine) was waiting for us in beautiful setting every morning. She straightened up our rooms, replenished neccessities and little luxuries when we slipped out. I would message her about our schedule for breakfast and she would message back quickly. Her property was far and above our expectations. We enjoyed the smell of the lavender fields near us and left our screened window open at night. The stars are a must see at night! This is the best value for the hospitality, cleanliness, unique historical relevance to Provence and beautiful setting I've experienced. We've traveled all over the world. We've stayed in 5 star resorts and other air b&b types, but this outshone them. Christine has a very special place.
In truth, nothing, but it is not very close to a plethora of restaurants. I say this to those not familiar with the Provence region. Unless you are in the bigger towns, NOTHING in Provence is close. You must plan ahead. Bring snacks if you don't like to eat dinner at 7pm. Restaurants close at 2pm and do not reopen until 7pm. That's France! Christine had a little kitchen for us so we could store our food or even cook if we wanted. There are a couple good restaurants nearby. L'entro pot around the corner and for fancier, Les Lavandes in Moneiux. On the flip side, being at Christine's was serene, melodic with song birds, faint church bells, and within smelling distance to a large lavender field. I think that's worth a little extra driving.
