About this apartment rental
Our chalet is located at 1100 meters above sea level. in the mountain village of Habkern above Interlaken. Here you can enjoy the tranquility and at the same time have a variety of opportunities for excursions (Jungfrau region, Grimselwelt) and experiences in the great world of the Bernese Oberland Alps. The beautiful city of Thun with its offers is also easily accessible.
Mountains such as the Augstmatthorn (2137m above sea level), the Gemmenalphorn (2061m above sea level) or the Hoh Gant (2197m above sea level) can be climbed directly from the house. The Lombachalp high moor area can be reached in your own car or with the Alpin bus.
The apartment with garden seating is on the ground floor of our chalet and can accommodate 3 people. This includes a parking space and a covered patio.
You can reach a bakery and a bus stop in a few minutes' walk (pick-up service may be possible).
TV, radio and WiFi are freely available in the apartment

Jo met us and showed us around when we arrived. He understands and speaks English well along with German and Danish. He has a beautiful apartment perfectly suited for 2-3. The kitchen is stocked with most needed cooking utensils. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Jo made sure we could do laundry. He even bought us local pastries one morning!

Apartment located on the mountain with amazing view very clean I felt at home the host very nice and fast communicate with our questions plus has every things need it in kitchen provide spices cook oil olive oil and other things I will come back in my next visit to Switzerland

Dies war unser zweiter Aufenthalt in dieser Wohnung. Grundsätzlich ist dies ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt für eine schöne Zeit im Berner Oberland - ob im Sommer oder Winter - hier beginnt jeder Tag mit vielen Möglichkeiten direkt vor der Tür oder in guter Reichweite. Die Terrasse lädt zum Frühstück in der Sonne ein und von unserem ersten Besuch wussten wir noch, wie schön die Fußbodenheizung im Wohnzimmer die nassen Wanderschuhe über die Nacht getrocknet hat.
Diese Erinnerungen bewegten uns dazu, nochmals zurückzukehren.
Leider schaffen es die Vermieter jedoch nicht, einen wirklich willkommen geheissen zu fühlen. Die Heizung war diesmal entweder ausgeschaltet oder zumindest kaum bemerkbar - die Beleuchtung der Wohnung ist alles andere als ausreichend - sowohl Bad als auch Küche / Wohnzimmer sind abends (das Bad auch tagsüber) immer extrem dunkel - die Sauberkeit der Wohnung war sehr dürftig - das WC mussten wir selber nochmals putzen - die Klobürste war schon festgetrocknet und offensichtlich sehr alt - am Geschirr waren teilweise noch dicke, alte Essensreste - die Decke im Bad war geschimmelt - Klopapier hing aus der Lüftung, gesaugt haben wir auch nochmals..
Nachdem wir zumindest die Heizung, Lüftung und den Schimmel bei den Vermietern gemeldet haben, haben diese sich gewundert und entschuldigt und am nächsten Abend den Schimmel mit Essig behandelt und uns eine Flasche Wein als Entschuldigung geschenkt.
Da der Schimmel jedoch weiterhin im Bad war (durch die Dunkelheit wurden wohl einige kleinere Stellen übersehen), die Heizung trotzdem nicht wärmer wurde und sich die Vermieter in den weiteren Tagen auch nicht mehr bei uns erkundigt haben, ob nun alles in Ordnung sei, haben wir dann einfach das Beste aus den Gegebenheiten gemacht.
Auch beim Abschied kam keine Rückfrage zu unserem Aufenthalt und es schien fast so, als hätten die Vermieter (die direkt über der Wohnung wohnen) es vorgezogen, wenn wir einfach wortlos gekommen und gegangen wären.
Kurz gesagt: Mit sehr wenig Aufwand wäre dies eine ideale Wohnung - so wie sie derzeit genutzt wird, verfehlt sie jedoch leider ihr Potential..
