The most beautiful vacation areas that offer a relaxing vacation for the whole family can be found here in the westernmost section of Denmark. Blåvand is surrounded by beautiful nature. When you come here you will be presented with a sight of imposingly high sand dunes and an endless sandy beach. Hvidbjerg beach, facing south, is considered to be the best beach in Denmark. It has all the advantages of a beach on the North Sea, but is safe for children because it is protected by the surf behind Horns Rev. On this reef there is also the world's largest windmill farm on the sea. The whole hinterland consists of large areas of undisturbed nature such as forest and heath landscapes. Many vacationers return every year to this breathtaking part of the North Sea coast, which is able to fascinate at any time of the year. Blåvand is also the number one vacation destination of birds. The prominent location of the reef is ideal for many migratory birds that use Blåvand and Skallingen as resting and feeding places. In the area there are also a number of artists and craftsmen who work various raw materials in their workshops. These include ceramists, amber cutters and candle makers. There are also opportunities for sports activities. Try the squash, badminton or tennis facilities. Legoland is an hour's drive away and Esbjerg's harbor and the Fisheries and Maritime Museum can be reached in about 30 minutes.
