Situated on the ground floor of an historic building situated directly on the main pedestrianised street at the north end of town. It was so nice to be able to walk out of the door - to lovely restaurants, wine merchants/tasting and boutique shops all a few yards away & yet remarkably quiet & peaceful inside the apartment. Very good supermarket just over 5 minutes walk (Conad) & convenience store 1 minute. Weekly market 5 minutes walk.
The apartment is very comfortable, spotlessly clean, well equipped & tastefully decorated - the bed & sofa were particularly comfortable. Not overlooked - sense of privacy (except for one small spot in the bathroom)
Loved the sense of history of the building with the high decorated wood-panelled ceilings. To the rear you look out onto the roof of another old building - as you climb the single step up to go through the doors to access the small balcony you get a lovely westward view over that roof to the countryside beyond.
Vania was most helpful & readily available on Whats App. On arrival she kindly met us in her car at
Parcheggio Piazza Santa Agnese (as there was a market in that Piazza the next day, we followed her to another parking space) - she transferred our luggage into her car, as she has resident access to the central zone, and took us directly to the apartment).
Despite the fact that it seemed to be a particularly busy time for tourism with special events & so at first sight it looked like free parking was going to be an issue we were able to find free parking every day a little further (10 mins) away. Vania can advise. We had a great week including several beautiful countryside walks & visiting the wonderful hilltop towns of Val d'Orcia.

Because the apartment was in the centre, ZTL zone, our host - Vania - met us at the car park and drove our luggage and us to the apartment in her car. We thought this was a wonderful service. The apartment is the best we have booked so far in Italy. It was bright and cheerful. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We were delighted with the decor and the magnificent ceilings. If we have the opportunity to visit Montepulciano again, we would certainly stay at Vania's apartment.
Everything was perfect - location - apartment - host, and facilities.

The property was very clean, tidy and spacious.
noisy due to works being done in the courtyard directly under the apartment but in saying that not a fault of the apartment rather bad timing by local council.
