About this apartment rental
This apartment is the best location for a couple who enjoys the sun, food, culture and sports. Placed at the ridge of an ancient extinguished vulcano, with its two balconies, spectacular views are garanteed over the Lake of Nemi towards the Mediterranean sea. The village itself, known for its forest strawberries, is pittoresque and offers a dozen genuine italian restaurants. Rome is only 30 km away and also in the surroundings are numerous archeological sites to visit. Many sports can be done. A morning swim in the sweet water lake is refreshing and the forest not only offers long tracks for biking and trekking, but also the possibility to go horse back riding. The sea is at 25 km distance. A fashion outlet is at 25 km distance.
The house itself has been restored in 2012 and is composed of a well equiped kitchen, living room (with wifi), double bed bedroom, two toilets with shower and two balconies where you can relax, take sun, read, eat, barbecue ecc.
No cars are allowed in this area of the village and therefor it is very quiet. At nights it is possible to hear the owls and often you can hear a small waterfall.
Local public transport is minimal. We recommend to rent a car.

The apartment is situated high up overlooking a beautiful lake and really close to the restaurants and coffee shops. The streets are narrow and cobbled and full of character, but this also means that there is no parking at the property. We were able to drive fairly close to unload cases and our shopping, and then we moved the car to a car park. This wasn't an issue for us at all. The local restaurants are all great and we enjoyed sampling the local wild strawberries, which came in many forms from fresh with lemon and sugar, to tiramisu to strawberry wine and a lovely strawberry liquer! We enjoyed in particular Il Rambo D'oro restaurant where there was a great waiter who sang to us and was a real character. I have a severe gluten intolerance and had no problem getting restaurant food and the local supermarkets also had a decent stock of GF products. We visited in August so the temperatures were very high, in fact a severe heat warning was issued. We spoke to our hosts and before the day was out we had a fan delivered which was great! Make sure to take insect repellent as the local insects are voracious both day and night. We found a local product "Autan" to be very effective indeed and it was found in the pharmacy and the supermarket. All in all we had a wonderful time, the evenings were idyllic sitting on the balcony with a glass or two of the delicious local wine and watching the moonlight reflecting on the lake. Highly recommend both the property and the village of Nemi.

L'alloggio gode di una vista spettacolare ed è molto accogliente e funzionale. Il posto è incantevole e trasmette pace, ottimo per chi vuole rilassarsi, godere dei borghi e delle bellezze dei dintorni. Ci tornerò di sicuro. La proprietaria una personale deliziosa e cordiale

Avevo scelto questa proprietà per la descrizione fatta dalla proprietaria e non sono rimasta delusa .qualche piccolo inconveniente c'è stato ,risolto tempestivamente dalla proprietaria. Nel appartamento manca un armadio per riporre i propri indumenti e se nel terrazzo grande ci fosse stato uno sdraio per prendere il sole sarebbe stato perfetto .Nemi è un bellissimo e suggestivo borgo ,purtroppo ci sono molti problemi di viabilità e di parcheggio Nemi è un ottimo punto di partenza se avete voglia di camminare , ai Castelli Romani c'è molto da vedere .

We (couple) stayed for a 5 day period in Nemi. This is a perfect place as it is close to airport and Roma is just 25km far and ofcourse the Castelli Romani itself are very interresting.
The apartment is in the centre of Nemi (which is a lively place), this means that in summerperiod it can be difficult to have your car parked close. The apt is well equipped, has a wonderfull view over the lake and even in hot period relative cool.
We had a wonderfull period, thanks for sharing......
