Great place for the 2 of us as a launchpad to explore the Normandy coast. Immaculately clean suite! So many places have a bare amount of kitchen utensils, cooking implements, this unit had everything we could need to cook. Cooking on vacation not your thing? Walking distance to many restaurants and a grocery store. We were here in early June, very quiet street and parking was easy. Check in and check out process was great. SILVIO was always a quick text away.

The cottage was beautifully clean and in perfect position- quiet but close enough to walk to the beach. The property we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay- the kitchen being very well equipped.

Een ‘mooi-weer-huisje’ nabij het strand van Villers-sur-Mer. Uitstekende locatie, tevens prima als uitvalsbasis wanneer je de D-Day stranden wenst te bezoeken. Het huisje is ‘onderdeel’ van een soort cottage-dorpje binnen Villers-sur-Mer en kent dus weinig privacy. Daarnaast is mooi weer geboden omdat het echt een heel klein huisje is, prima voor met zijn tweeën wanneer je het enkel gebruikt om te overnachten, te douchen en af en toe te koken. Alles verkeert bovendien in goede staat en is brandschoon, dat zijn de grote pluspunten.
Nadeel vonden wij het zachte en zeer kleine bed met de bijzondere wijze van opmaak: geen hoeslaken maar een heel dun, doorzichtig, stoffen ‘vel’ welke d.m.v. elastieken bevestigd was aan de hoeken van het matras. Dat zat na één nacht natuurlijk al voor geen meter en lag daarom niet lekker. Ook liet het op een gegeven moment veel pluisjes los waardoor al snel bed, kussens, kapsels, pyama’s en vloer onder leek gesneeuwd.
Tot slot zou het zeer wenselijk zijn als de contactpersonen op locatie Engels zouden kunnen verstaan en spreken. Ze willen graag helpen, weten veel van de omgeving en hebben ongetwijfeld een hoop tips maar de taalbarrière voorkomt uiting van dit moois.
Al met al een heerlijke week vakantie gehad maar wel aardig wat betaald voor dit kleine onderkomen.
