About this villa rental
Positioned on a suggestive hill overlooking the seaside town of Agropoli and the enchanting valley of the temples of Paestum, an ancient settlement of Magna Grecia, Villa Roberta is a comfortable structure surrounded by greenery of about one hectare of land owned with ancient olive trees and orchard. The villa offers a breathtaking view that from the Cilento hills slopes down to the inlet of Agropoli, the Paestum valley, to extend to the island of Capri, the Gulf of Salerno and the Amalfi coast.
The house, recently renovated, is spread over two floors for an extension of 240 square meters. It has on the ground floor a large outdoor patio, and internally a large living room with adjoining built-in kitchen, wood oven, internal barbecue and dining area, study, sitting area with fireplace, TV, home theater, stereo system with DVD bluray and satellite system. A well-stocked library and video collection are also available. Also on the ground floor there is a bathroom with laundry room and closet. The large living room allows multiple outdoor exits along the entire perimeter of the house, including a direct exit to the garden and swimming pool.
The first floor has 4 bedrooms, one with a large panoramic terrace and two bathrooms, one with a whirlpool tub and the other with a shower. The structure is fully air conditioned and all openings are equipped with mosquito nets.
The villa has a swimming pool of 14 x 6 meters with submerged Roman steps, with attached bathroom-shower-dressing room.
In the spaces in front of the kitchen area there is also an outdoor barbecue.
The products of the fruit trees, such as the prized white figs of Cilento abundant in the summer season, are available to guests.

Wonderful villa. It had everything we could have wished for, and we had a wonderful time. The house has 4 rooms with all possible amenities, including air conditioning. All the rooms and 2 bathrooms are upstairs. The space downstairs is large and relaxing. The pool was amazing. The view from the property, particularly the sunsets, was to die for. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful. Everything was clean, organized, and well cared for. Highly recommended for families. We hope to be able to return soon.

This is a great place to spend a couple of weeks. The house is very well equipped and comfortable, and the pool is large and clean. The beds are comfortable and with the air con on you can be completely insulated from noise and light. The huge, sandy beaches are 15 minutes away, perfect for children as the water is warm and shallow until a long way out. The ruins and temples at Paestum are amazing, and Agropoli is a charming town. There's a big supermarket 5 minutes away and lots of smaller shops dotted about. We found the best food at the various agri-tourism establishments nearby. It is worth driving up into the mountain villages for a change of scenery and majestic views.

Villa Roberta was one of the very best properties we've ever stayed in - a beautiful house, wonderful mature garden and large, clean swimming pool but made especially memorable by the warm welcome and personal touches of Leonilde who welcomed us to her home and made sure we had the perfect holiday. We loved the peace and quiet of the house but also how quick and easy it was to reach Paestum, Salerno and on to the Amalfi Coast. We look forward to returning very soon.

5 Sterne (von max. 5) für Villa Roberta! Wir waren 3 Wochen im September 2018 auf diesem wunderschönen Anwesen. Das Haus hat eine wunderschöne Lage und ist innen wie außen sehr gepflegt (Dank an Mario und Assunta!). Die Besitzer, Leonilde und Egidio, haben uns sehr herzlich willkommen geheißen. Sie sind sehr nett und kümmerten sich immer sofort um unsere Anfragen und Anliegen. Die Ausstattung im gesamten Haus wie in der Küche lässt keine Wünsche offen. Der Pool ist riesig und durch seine römischen Treppen auch für Kleinkinder sehr gut geeignet. Auf der großen Terrasse vor dem Haus lassen sich wunderschöne Abende mit der Großfamilie mit Blick auf die Bucht von Agropoli und die Sonnenuntergänge verbringen. Für uns bietet diese Villa ein faires Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, und bei sinnvollem Einsatz der im gesamten Haus vorhandenen Klimaanlagen sind auch die Stromkosten akzeptabel (ca. 200 € / 3 Wochen / durchschnittlich 7 Personen). Einzige Einschränkung aus unserer Sicht sind die typisch italienischen Betten und die 2 Schlafcouches im Kinderzimmer und Wohnzimmer. Die Matratzen sind extrem hart und die Ausziehbetten für Erwachsene nicht geeignet. Sollte das geändert werden können tatsächlich 10 erwachsene Personen dort übernachten. Die Erneuerung der Betten ist aber nach Information der Besitzer für diesen Winter eingeplant. Da wir überhaupt nichts vermisst haben und uns rundum gut versorgt fühlten, bleibt es von Herzen bei der uneingeschränkten Vergabe von 5 Sternen. Liebe Grüße, auf bald!
