The location of the house is more than great, just by the sea, you can admire the beautiful panorama all day. The villa is modern, well equipped and is in the centre of the village, just few steps away from the bars, restaurants and a small shop. Despite of this central location the surraunding is very calm. The apartman is thougtfully designed in every details, equipped with everything you could need. We loved the big comfortable beds, the strong AC, the outdoor furniture, immaculate cleanliness we were greeted. As for the host Menelaos, we can speak only in superlatives. I can say: he is the best host we’ve ever met. He pays attention to every detail and really cares that his guests feel comfortable. Upon our arrival we were welcomed with a beautiful and delicious cold platter with local food, salad, sweets and with a fully stocked fridge. During our stay he surprised us with other nice gifts. These four nights passed far too quickly but were full of great experiances. I definitely reccomend to visit Villa Menelaos in Mochlos.

The villa is in Mochlos, originally a small fishing village that is now a haven of peace for those who wish to visit Eastern Crete. The villa is splendid, in the best location in the village for sure, and it is such a delight to be able to enjoy the sea surf from the terrace. For us, it was a tremendously relaxing experience.
Menelaos, the owner of the villa, was wonderful. Not only did Menelaos greet us upon our arrival, he also shared local specialties with us on 3 separate occasions during our 1-week stay. Finally, Menelaos helped us check out and bid us farewell. It's hard to imagine a more welcoming host.
Getting to Mochlos involves driving very narrow roads with lots of turns. We were expecting this and it didn't bother us at all. But I suppose this could be a surprise for people who are accustomed to wide roads and streets.
There is really nothing I didn't like about the villa.

Menelaos was a fantastic host. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a seafood platter and delicious baklava. The fridge was already stocked with the essentials. He was always available and continued to surprise us with tasty treats throughout our stay, along with great excursion tips.
The furniture was uniquely charming, and the location was stunning—right by the sea. A beach with perfect access to the water was just 1-2 minutes away by foot. We relaxed on the terrace, which had very comfortable loungers.
Everything we needed was provided: the kitchen was well-equipped for example with a kettle, two different coffee machines, a toaster, and a sandwich maker. There was even a first-aid kit with medications and a thermometer. The bathrooms were stocked with plenty of towels and beach towels. The air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked excellently throughout.
The small village had everything we needed, including many excellent tavernas, shops, and a mini market for groceries.
