About this apartment rental
The apartment is modern and is in a safe,quiet street very close to the Acropolis and Plaka areas of Athens -you can walk there in 20 mins. It is close to the train stations of Petralona and Thissio (part of the Athens Metro -15 mins walk) and next to the bus stop that takes you to Syntagma and Omonia Square. The building has only 3 apartments ,has an elevator and it is located high on a hill (western slope of Phillopapou hill) with a pleasant outlook. An easy walk away just a few minutes and there are small tavernas, cafes, supermarket, banks and other shops in the neighborhood. It is on the 2nd floor overlooking a park and has an elevator. It is fully furnished with modern furniture and the kitchen is fully equipped.

Bedroom 2 with twin beds.
(Lounge has 2 single sofa beds.)
Bathrooms:
Bathroom with shower bath and WC and washing machine.
Kitchen:

Very comfortable apartment in a quiet neighborhood. Many amenities, shops, supermarket, cafes and restaurants. The apartment was very clean, plenty of room, lovely balcony across the street from a school. There is a pedestrian walkway taking you to the Acropolis, Monasteraki and Plaka. The apartment is as advertised, easy and quick communication with the owner. I've been to Athens many times and I highly recommend this location.

This was a great apartment! I had constant contact with the owner and the description of the apartment was exactly as I found it. The walk to and from the train in Petralona was very doable and I never felt unsafe walking alone even after dark. This allowed me to take public transportation when meeting relatives on a daily basis or getting into the old town area to see the sites without having to take a taxi everywhere. Each morning I went out for a 40-50 minute exercise walk and could walk to the Akropolis area safely and easily. Loved being there and having all the space and amenities of home.

We rented the apartment for 10 nights to use as our home base for our days in Athens as well as 3 overnights out of the area. The location and price made this decision a great one. The beds are firm, and the main living area as well as the two bedrooms are air conditioned. Huge balcony made breakfast and evenings at the house special. The washing machine made for a great convenience (we saw no laundromats and only found 1 listed far away), and there was plenty of lines to hang clothes. Market is a few blocks away and open until 9:00 PM. Plenty of restaurants nearby for lengthy dining or a quick bite.Continue walking up the hill on the street and you get to the back way of Hill of the Nymphs where the observatory and extensive ruins are located at top, and you can continue over to the Acropolis. Conversely, go down the hill and over a few blocks to get to the Metro stop, which is very near the center of Athens.The only drawback we found is you get one set of keys and need them to lock yourself out of both the apartment and the apartment building, and then need to lock yourself in the building (there is a deadbolt you can use on the apartment door that does not require a key). One day , I wanted to nap and my husband was up for looking around but we both agreed it would not be a good idea for me to be locked in the building. Indeed several days later an apartment alarm had gone off (false alarm -- we vacated the building and the alarm soon turned off and we saw no one else), but I can't imagine having been there by myself and not being able to get out the front door. The neighborhood is enough off the beaten path to provide an authentic experience of an urban Greek neighborhood, but close enough to the action of central Athens. We felt like in selecting this apartment we had hit the jackpot!
