A most beautiful experience!! Gérard is a true gentleman and an excellent host. We felt he truly cared about our stay in Arles. He met our family at the station, gave us a basic tour of the surrounding area, gifted us thoughtful provisions, and dropped us off at the station. When it seemed as though we would have a delay when leaving, Gérard was extremely accommodating and flexible. He is just a great, friendly guy-- what more can be said? The little house is so beautiful, romantic, and peaceful. It was picture perfect and you will find all necessities for a comfortable stay. It stays cool in the heat as well-- so do not fear if you arrive during the summer. This was a terrific experience all around and I would return again in a heartbeat.

Gerard’s house in Arles is as described both cool (aircon in the bedroom - essential during our summer stay) and quiet (in a neighbourhood about 10 minutes walk from the old town). Gerard kindly collected us from the railway station and dropped us back at the end of our stay. He had baguettes, tapenade and wine waiting in the small but well appointed townhouse. We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed exploring all that Arles has to offer, including Luma, which is enroute into town. As a couple, we did find the twin beds a bit uncomfortable and the lack of wifi a bit of a disadvantage but overall had a good stay.
