The location was perfect, and we loved staying in Manarola. Very accessible without needing to go too high in town. Only a few meters from the main entrance to the train station and to a lovely walk!
The balcony was also great, we could have wine at night without the feeling that we were stuck in the apartment (as we have a small child who sleeps early). The apartment overall was good and compact but suited us, great option if you don't want to spend too much. Cinque Terre itself is not cheap so we appreciated not having to pay too much fortune the accommodation.
The toilet had a bad smell but it was a sewage issue for sure as it was very clean when we arrived and the sofa bed while good for our daughter, would have been uncomfortable for an adult due to the uneven surface. The steps to the apartment were very dirty and had no light in the corridor.

Wifi didn't work, only one set of keys which turned off electricity when removed Didn't work well when we didn't do everything together
