This beautifully-appointed, comfortable, terraced cottage is situated in the pretty village of Staindrop, just a mile away from Raby Castle and can sleep four people in two bedrooms.
Corner Cottage is a beautifully-appointed, comfortable, terraced cottage situated in the pretty village of Staindrop, just a mile away from Raby Castle and can sleep four people in one king-size double bedroom and one twin room (zip/link). There is a family shower room. The rest of the property contains an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. To the outside of the property there is a front lawned area with furniture. Corner Cottage is a perfect base for couples and families looking to explore County Durham and the Yorkshire Dales.
Amenities: Gas central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, integrated microwave combi oven, Filter / Cappuccino maker, Smart TV with Freeview, Digital streaming TV, CD/radio, iPod dock, Bluetooth speaker, WiFi, selection of books and games. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair. Welcome pack. Roadside parking on first come, first served basis. Front lawned garden with furniture and unsecure for dogs, two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops and pubs 2 mins walk. Extended and modified over the centuries, the heart of the castle is medieval with a walled garden and 200-acre deer park. Staindrop itself is home to many interesting shops, pubs and cafes, all set round its long village green. The popular market town of Barnard Castle is only five miles away, and is the setting for the Bowes Museum, in addition to its wide range of shops and tea-rooms. The area is a wonderful place for walkers and cyclists with numerous routes throughout the stunning scenery.
