In the peculiar historical centre of Vico del Gargano, you can find the stone-built "Casa delle Favole”, dating back from the 1700s and artfully refurbished in 2010.
It consists of:
An entrance, a small living room with an open-fire kitchen area, a double bedroom and a single bed, and a small bathroom.
It is equipped with:
Cookware and crockery, a washing machine, a fridge and freezer, an electric oven, a hairdryer, an iron, a methane heating system, a parking space (at approximately 100 m), linen, hand towels, and kitchen linen.
The small apartment is suitable for 2 - 3 people wanting to spend a holiday discovering ancient enotourism and cultural traditions of the Gargano National Park, and particularly Vico, considered having one of the most beautiful historical centres of our territory.
You can visit:
The Umbra forest (5 minutes away from the village), Rodi Garganico and Peschici (15 minutes away from Vico). From Rodi, you can board for the Tremiti Islands and the sea caves of Vieste.
The listed rate, in the summer months, includes the consumption of water, electricity, gas, cleaning (kitchen area not included, € 15.00), and parking space in garage. In the winter months, heating, bed, bath and kitchen linen are also included.
Mandatory surcharge: € 100 deposit.
Optional supplement:
- Bed linen: € 7.50 per person/week or per change
- Bathroom linen: € 7.50 per person/week or per change
- Kitchen linen: € 7.00 per week or per change.

Maria is a very warm and gracious host who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She toured us around the neighborhood and gave us recommendations. Very communicative and concerned about our stay. She left us homemade sun dried tomatoes, olives and marmalade. The apartment is very well appointed, cheerful and clean, well equipped. An historic location in an historic building. The only things to think about are the steep and uneven stone steps up to the flat - no railing- if you have any mobility issues. And there is no WiFi.
All in all, highly recommended as a launching pad for the Foresta Umbra and the lovely beach towns.

Sehr geschmackvolle Altstadtwohnung. Maria war eine sehr herzliche Gastgeberin. Die Lage der Wohnung inmitten der Altstadt von Vico, war hervorragend.

Appartamento in pieno centro storico molto carino, curato, pulito e arredato con gusto e particolarità. Vigo Gargano si trova in posizione privilegiata per poter raggiungere i vari luoghi di maggior attrazione ma permette di assaporare maggiormente la cultura dei posto. I proprietari Maria e Orazio sono molto disponibili, accoglienti e attenti al benessere dell'ospite.
