Faul House Accommodation

We were met by Kathleen with a lovely greeting. The room was spacious and spotless clean . Location perfect for us We will go back .

Faul House is situated in a brilliant location just outside Clifden town. It’s a large and spacious dwelling set in its own private grounds on a very quiet single lane road which runs down to a jetty (about 1 km away) on the shores of the Atlantic. The property itself is large (the bedrooms are huge) and most importantly it was spotlessly clean. The communal kitchen area was bright airy and again spotlessly clean. The bathrooms were immaculate with good showers. We were offered clean towels each day but we didn’t need to avail of these as we were given so many clean towels to begin with. What really made are stay so relaxing and enjoyable was our host - the property owner - Kathleen. Kathleen was simply fantastic in every way. Warm and welcoming she exuded an aura of calmness and friendliness. Kathleen was very sympathetic and understanding of my elderly mother who had travelled down with us for the first time since losing my father to Cancer. Kathleen’s caring and understanding was exceptional throughout our stay and for that I would like to place on record my sincere thanks. I would highly recommend Faul House for anyone looking a quieter stay out of Clifden town centre itself. I would rate Faul House as 5 star.

If I had to point out one slight and very minor issue it was the intermittent and weak wifi signal. I did mention this to Kathleen during our stay and because the property is quite large the wifi signal varied depending on where you were in the property. It was much stronger downstairs and in the living room and kitchen area.

Loved the stay!! Was very spacious and felt like staying at grandmas house! Very welcoming and cozy!

WiFi is spotty, advise downloading things before hand if you need to!
