In Tuscan countryside 15 minutes from Florence very independent apartment finely restored and furnished on two levels. On the first floor there are 2 double bedrooms (1 double bed and two singles), 1 smaller room/studio with a sofa bed and 2 bathrooms, both with shower, one of which with bathtub. Living, dining, kitchen and a WC with washing/drying machine are on the ground floor that opens on an exclusive garden. The access from the main road as well as the car park are independent. The large shared pool,(meters 15.50 X 7.00 X 1.25 ), surrounded by vegetation and not visible from the house, open from May 15th to September 30th, is treated with natural salt. Personal transportation is advised. Private car service available with additional cost.

This beautiful 19th century country home, recently restored, is part of the “ Fattoria Il Leccio” lived and owned by the Passigli family for four generations. It sits on top of a hill overlooking the Valle del Mugnone, a gorgeous valley that offers panoramic views of gently slopping hills cultivated with well-tended olive groves as well as views of the town of Fiesole and the city of Florence. Giovanni Boccaccio in his 13th Century Decameron, locates some of his stories in this valley.
Personal transportation is advisable. Public transportation, (bus and train) are available at the bottom of the hill in the village of Caldine. It is a 10/15 minute walk through the hilly bucolic countryside. The train, a 12 minute ride from the Fiesole /Caldine station to Santa Maria Novella station in the center of Florence, runs approximately every hour. The buses, a 30 minute ride, also take you into Florence. There is little public transportation after 8pm. Caldine has a supermarket as well as post office and bank.
