About this villa rental
The house is located in a small hamlet with delightful views over the surrounding countryside. It has been thoughtfully converted from a former Istrian farmhouse and we have incorporated French windows in every room, either leading to a balcony or to the front and back gardens in order to maximise the feeling of light and spaciousness. With easy access both to coast and inland, we feel that Baredine is a perfect base from which to enjoy your holiday in Istria.

The house and property are very well equipped, carefully looked after and offer almost everything one could wish for in a vacational, relaxing stay. We thought the real thing looked even better than the photos, the kitchen is so well equipped and there ist a great patio with a grill. We never even felt like eating out because staying in and cooking/barbecueing was so easy and satisfying in this house. There is plenty of space and different areas within the property which makes it easy to stay there with a mixed group of people. The host was super easy to get a hold of and very accomodating and helpful.
You do need a car to stay in this area but the next supermarket and most important shops are a 8 minutes drive away; it takes about 20 minutes to get to the nearest spot by the sea. There is a charming old village close by that's worth a visit (Grosnjan).
If we get the opportunity we will definitely be coming back, we loved it!

We spend two wonderful and relaxing weeks in Alison & Nicks great house. Plenty of space inside and outside! We have been there with 7 adults. Highly enjoyed the pool area and the outside kitchen facilities (BBQ/grill). House and kitchen are well equipped, no problem to cook for larger groups/family.
Garden is big enough for family games, plenty of them are available.
Nick was very helpful with tips for day trips and always contactable via email to answer any questions. You can feel how much he loves the place himself.
Baredine is a small village with only a very few inhabitants and a couple of vacation homes. It’s very quiet. Amazing sunsets around the corner! And an olive oil mill just across the street. The owner gives tours in German and Italian.

Wir durften mit unseren 3 Kindern (13,11,8) eine unglaublich schöne und entspannte Ferienwoche in diesem fantastischen Ferienhaus verbringen.
Zuerst einmal möchte ich betonen, wie unglaublich sauber das komplette Haus war. Da wir seit Jahren immer in Ferienhäusern unseren Urlaub verbringen, mussten wir leider die Erfahrung machen, dass dies absolut keine Selbstverständlichkeit ist. Hier hingegen haben wir alles in einem tadellosen Zustand vorgefunden.
Das Haus selbst ist einfach umwerfend. Für die Kinder waren natürlich der riesen Pool (Salzwasser!) und die Tischtennisplatte absolute Highlights. Toll ist, dass es auch auf der Hinterseite des Hauses noch einmal ein kleines, lauschiges Sitzplätzchen gibt. Da wir an 2 Tagen etwas stärkeren Wind hatten, haben wir am Abend einfach den hinteren Platz genutzt, wo es nahezu windstill war.
Innen ist das Haus ohnehin ein Traum. Alles ist sehr geschmackvoll und hochwertig eingerichtet. Praktisch war auch, dass im OG quasi nochmal 2 separate Schlafbereiche sind. Rechts befinden sich 2 SZ mit jeweils eigenem Bad und links ist eine Art zusätzliches Appartement. Wenn man die Türe zum Gang schließt, dann hat man absolute Ruhe. Dies erwies sich besonders morgens als sehr angenehm. So konnten unsere kleinen Frühaufsteher getrost nach unten und spielen, ohne uns oben zu stören.
Mit Kindern ist übrigens das erst recht neu eröffnete Rutschenparadies (nur ca. 15 Autominuten entfernt) "Istralandia" unbedingt zu empfehlen. Unsere Kinder (und auch wir) haben dort einen tollen Tag verbracht.
Herzlichen Dank an dieser Stelle noch einmal an Nick und Allison dafür, dass sie uns das fantastische Haus zur Verfügung gestellt haben. Die beiden sind übrigens jederzeit telefonisch oder via Email erreichbar und helfen bei Bedarf sofort.
Wir können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!
