The Strone is an accredited five star holiday home situated in the village of Luss within the Loch Lomond national Park Scotland. Sleeping 12 Guests , you are a mere two minutes walk to the water’s edge of Loch Lomond. We have a large private garden with patio area , play area , fully equipped play house ,fire pit and BBQ’s . We also have table tennis for our guests to enjoy . Our fully equipped kitchen makes cooking for the whole family a breeze. Loch Lomond national park consists of 1,865 Sq/Km of natural countryside with the loch being the largest body of water within the UK. The village is situated 45 km North of Glasgow and is within easy reach of many of the top Scottish tourist areas. Sleepy Village not for you? No problem, you can ride the124 km of cycling routes , climb a local mountain or head out onto the Loch . Luss activity hub is located in the village car park where you can hire all Manet of equipment. Bus Busses run regular from the village to Loch Lomond Shores and Glasgow City Centre. Bus time tables can be found at the Luss visitor center. Seaplane For a special treat or simply a cool way to travel to the City the seaplane service operates from the Cameron House hotel. This cottage is absolutely gorgeous…beautifully decorated with quality fixtures and fittings giving it a very homely feel. It is stocked with everything you could possibly need - even the children’s Wendy house was well stocked with toys! There was a lovely ‘welcome tray’ of cakes shortbread and very welcome beers, Prosecco, soft drinks and a “baby box” with nappies baby shampoo baby bath oil cream etc…such a lovely touch! Colette was most helpful with our requests and checked up on us to see if everything was ok - again a lovely touch making us feel so comfortable. Luss is a real gem of a place and our stay there in this fantastic cottage gave us some wonderful family time together and left us with the feeling that we will definitely be back!

This property is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable & wonderful, luxury stay in picturesque Luss. We stayed for 3 nights with family of 9 and were blown away by the little touches that make this place so beautiful and unique. The host was fantastic with prompt communication and did not hesitate to advise when we had trouble with having no hot water (we all had baths/showers on the first day one after another and washed up by hand and thus used all the hot water not realising it was a tank system - which was unfortunate given how many of us were staying, however, the shower in the blue en-suite room was an electric shower and so has hot water at all times FYI and my advise is don't wash up by hand - use the dishwasher! After this, we didn't have a problem). The huge home-made cake and welcome drinks were a lovely touch too and went down a treat. The kitchen contains everything you could possibly think of. The beds were comfortable and the whole place was spotless and spacious. The mini bar set up in the lounge was a favourite for drinks next to the cozy roaring fireplace and plentiful seating. Would love to return in the warmer months to make more use of the garden area and the 'hidden gem' playhouse in the garden brimming with toys. Cannot fault it, a perfect stay.

Needed to stay near to Loch Lomond for a wedding and this house was perfect!
Beautifully decorated & good sized rooms (a lot of cushions!!), fab kitchen and lovely bedrooms with great quality linens!
Because of the time of year, we didn’t use the garden but it offers so much!
All in all, suited our needs perfectly and as described in the description. Thanks for having us!

This property exceeded all expectations. There was space to be together and take time out. Everything we needed was there. The setting was beautiful and the property a joy inside and out. Communication with the owner was excellent. It was the perfect setting for a very special family occasion.
