The location was rural and surroundings peaceful. The host was friendly. The room was clean.
The room we were given was not as described in our confirmation which read: "This double room features a balcony, microwave and private entrance". The room had no balcony and no microwave. Unfortunately the weather was very hot and there was no window to open. As there was no aircon, the room was quite stuffy.
Unfortunately all other guests were travelling as a group and were very noisy and disrespectful of both us and our host and continued to party loudly on the terrace outside our room until well after midnight. We also suspect that the room initially assigned to us had been reallocated to this group without any consultation with us.
As the property is located a considerable distance away from any alternative accommodation, we felt bound to make the most of remaining without a fuss. The host was apologetic but unable to get consideration from the other guests. Perhaps the house rules need to set firmer guidelines.
