An exquisite apartment located within Oxenfoord Castle near to the village of Pathhead and near to Dalkeith in Midlothian in Scotland and can sleep four people in two bedrooms.
Surrounded by stunning views overlooking the 18th century castle woodland with free roaming deer, Housekeeper's Rooms is an exquisite holiday home for families or groups of friends to enjoy. Uniquely base in Oxenford Castle, the property sleeps four in two light filled bedrooms, a master king and a twin. There is a spacious open plan living area with a fully equipped kitchen, diner and lounge. The property has a separate modern family bathroom with a bath and shower over. Outside guests are free to roam the extensive castle grounds and enjoy a game of tennis on one of the on site courts. There is off road parking for two cars located at the front of the castle. The apartment is within a mile from the local pub and shop. Located just 11 miles from Edinburgh, Housekeeper's Rooms is the perfect holiday base for guests to enjoy the Scottish countryside. NOTE: This property is on the 4th floor up 4 flights of stairs. Please note: This property only takes a minimum of 3 night bookings.

It was a very nice place to stay. You look directly onto the lawn behind the house from the dining table and it is mostly quiet. I felt comfortable. The scenery and nature are super beautiful, there are animals everywhere, lots of bird species, rabbits and deer. You can go for a good walk in the area, but you should have a car or a driver for longer journeys. The customer support answered every question I had. The owner was friendly. It was a lovely experience!

What a fabulous place to stay. For 2 Aussies to stay in this old castle was super special. Beautiful quiet location surrounded by parkland & lawns, with wildlife all around. Great hosts. Spacious rooms and comfy beds. Sheriffhall Park and ride made life simple getting in & out of Edinburgh. We highly recommend Oxenfoord.Thanks.
