Highbury House, Warm and Welcoming.

Pauline and Lesley (sister) kept me informed all along , They are just lovely people . House is bright, well decorated, quite area despite being next to airport. Easy to enter and you have the full range of offerings, even to the point of eating the hosts food. Its all there . lovely place to stay. Lovely hot shower too.

This was a real home-from-home. There was everything you could possibly need, and the fridge and cupboards were stocked with food and drink. The garden was really lovely, with fairy lights at night. Everywhere was spotless.

My husband couldn’t work the TV in the kitchen. (I was quite glad - he only wanted to watch the football!)

Good location, great accommodation, very comfortable, spotlessly clean, generous provision of drinks and food and superb communications with the owner.

I arrived late on the first night and rang the bell, unaware of any restrictions (no prior instructions were given). The host responded rudely and began speaking in slow, patronising English, making assumptions about my ability to understand. He kept repeating, “Muhammad, we don’t do this” in a pedantic and superior tone. As a professional attending a high-level conference, I found this behaviour deeply disrespectful. This experience has put me off booking private stays—I now prefer hotels where basic courtesy and professionalism are more reliable.
