Chesa Pitz Alv - Pontresina

We liked the space we had after being in hotel rooms (sometimes very small ones) for almost 3 weeks. There was a lovely view of the mountains on the balcony and it was close to the bus so we could get to and from the train station easily.

We were using this stop as a location to embark on the Bernina Express. We thought this sounded like a lovely area, why not spend an extra day? Unfortunately, there was nothing to do and no where that we knew of that we could eat dinner after arriving at 20:00. We decided on a delivery meal that cost 40CHF for a dish of spaghetti, an order of French fries and a coke. We had to walk 20 minutes the next day to find pastries for breakfast so we bought extra for the following morning. The local restaurants didn’t always update their websites so we didn’t know which would actually be open if we decided to walk about. Many would only be opening a week or two after we left. In the room, I was disappointed that a couple of coffee pods and tea bags were not left to go with the coffee maker and kettle. Especially when it is hard to navigate a sleepy little town like this in the off season. I would have preferred if we chose to stay in St Moritz instead of Pontresina which I imagine might have more available to us. We had one full day there and we found pastries and and went on a hike.

Einstellgarage ist nur für kleine Autos geeignet, Parkieren im Aussenbereich hat aber problemlos funktioniert. Küche sollte erneuert werden.

I liked the place a lot. The agency was always available for me, whenever I asked them for help they answer positively and also promptly. The place was quiet, clean in a lovely village. The apartment was as I excepted. Really nice. I didn't have to worry about the keys and the logistics, the agency did it so well.

The only little things I could tell are about the fournitures: 1) It would have been great to have extra sheets in the beds. 2 ) I thought the washing machine was for free, but we had to pay for it. 3 ) A toaster, microwave and kettle would have been very useful. Except this, everything was fine really.
