It was all very clean and although dated it still had a a luxurious feel and charm. It was quiet in our room as there was no balcony but who needs a balcony there.
Would have liked a better concession or discount on the golf buggies as the island is big or maybe a different type of smaller electric scooter.

An irreplaceable sea view with spacious rooms that still carry the spirit of their time. That is exactly what makes them so special, because they are not like most of today’s typical modern rooms. The fireplaces, although no longer functional, still give the rooms their own warmth and charm. I love that the part of the hotel where we stayed has not been aggressively renovated and still preserves elements of the past that give the hotel a unique atmosphere — for example, the huge and spacious old wardrobes. Our room (suite) consisted of two connected rooms and two bathrooms — one with a bathtub and the other with a shower. The entrance to the hotel, the older carpets, the doors — everything “old” here has its own charm, and I am glad it was not replaced with newer, more “sterile” furnishings that would take away the soul of the hotel, and I truly hope it never will be. Down by the reception, the old telephone booths are still there. They are no longer in use, but seeing them takes you back to the last era that shaped this hotel, whose history actually dates back to the Austro-Hungarian period. The hotel has 3 stars, but personally, I would give it 5. I also hope they will not renovate the older elevators, which have been partially modernized but still retain elements of the original lifts. It would be wonderful for the hotel to preserve, for as long as possible, the last historical era that left its mark on it. I would also add the exceptionally kind staff, especially the lady and gentleman at the reception.
I also had the opportunity to see a few of the renovated rooms, which honestly disappointed me. That is why I am happy that at least some of the rooms have not been subjected to aggressive modernization, but instead restored in the spirit of the past, preserving the soul of the last era that truly defined the hotel. It would be lovely if they brought back the old soaps in those retro little boxes that guests could take home as a keepsake — small details that would always remind you of your stay and later become home to sewing needles or other little treasures.

Nice and comfortable, staff really great and professional. Room is cozy and clean, when there don't miss the sea view side it is worth it.
Definetly too expensive. Food is not bad, but it is not good either.

This hotel is all about the location. You are right in the national park on an island, surrounded by nature and incredible views.
I can understand the price, as the hotel is located in the Brijuni National Park, but they really need to step up their game. The hotel needs some touching up, and the staff could be friendlier.
