About this bed and breakfast
MALT GL. PRÆSTEGAARD (Old Vicarage of Malt) is a listed courtyard built in 1869 after Peder Holden Hansen. He stands on a small hill just outside the village of Malt and has a wonderful view over the fields. Surrounded by our horse pastures, it is a place that invites and takes you. Here we live with our horses, cats and dogs. The upper floor of the house is for our guests
There are two guest rooms which both have direct access (anteroom) to a shared bathroom which is only used by the guests, with shower and toilet. An additional guest toilet is located in the entrance hall. A large, comfortable living area with sofa, a secretary, and dining table invites you to linger. Tea makers, coffeemakers, books and games are available to guests. The guests have their own entrance. The guest rooms can be used individually or together (eg Families, friends) are booked then you have the whole area for yourself.
The double room is the larger guest room, and has a large double bed (1.80m), perfect for 1 couple.
Breakfast can be booked for 10 € per person and then depending on the weather and season either indoors or outside on one of the terraces to be enjoyed.
Our guests can stay in the entire garden. There is a large terrace with tables, a beach chair, hammock in the trees, and other places to stay. Our horses are close to the house, cats and the dog are nice and curious. Nevertheless, they also like to have their rest. We wish and expect that one is in front of nature and our animals, but also respectfully behaves and respects their "privacy".
One of us is always at home. We are happy to give tips for trips in the area and are also happy to help.

My husband and I enjoyed our summer stay in Vejen. The room was comfortable and had an adjacent living room, where we could relax. The owner of the house, Birgit, was friendly and had a lot of local knowledge. She advised us about places to visit. The surroundings were idyllic and quiet. Easy to visit Aarhus and Ribe e.g. when staying there.

I just wanted a place to stay for one night on my way to a conference. What a lovely surprise. Surrounded by farms, nestled next to a tiny village this place is comfortable, friendly, and quiet.

We had a lovely time at Birgit’s farm. She was so helpful checking us in very late after our flight was delayed, and the room was a great size and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The house is in such a wonderful location, away from any roads and surrounded by fields. It was a really excellent location for exploring south Jutland, although you will need a car! In the last day, we ordered breakfast and it was perfect. Thanks Birgit, for a great stay.
Top tip: it’s quite hard to find. Put “Malt Kirke” into your SatNav and it’s not far from that.
