We stayed at this apartment for two weeks, one of which was half term. The apartment is well located being about a 300m walk from the slopes (top of Ecloise and Bergers lifts) and you can ski back to the locker room door.
We had a great two week stay, the apartment was warm and comfortable and the shower had enough hot water for two-three showers in a row with only a short delay to reheat. Cooking facilities were good (microwave, hob, portable oven) and there is plenty of crockery and cutlery. The floor is ceramic tile, the hob is glass and the table has a transparent plastic table cloth so all are easy to keep clean.
We also thoroughly enjoyed Alpe d'Huez as a resort, it's large enough to give variety and the slopes are also nicely varied. The apartment is well away from the party centre of the town which suited us well.
Philippe was extremely helpful and very easy to communicate with, his English is excellent. Thank you Philippe!
For our purposes the apartment was perfect and we would very willingly stay here again, there are a few things you may wish to consider before booking the apartment:
- If you want to be near the parties and bars you may wish to consider a different location. We wanted somewhere quiet so it suited us.
- The apartment is on the top floor at the opposite end of the floor to the lifts but adjacent to a staircase. This means you do get foot traffic up and down the stairs which you can hear from within the apartment, particularly on the mezzanine. If you're a light sleeper and like early nights don't sleep on the mezzanine.
- The mezzanine is heated from the ground floor, so it's worth turning the ground floor heater up to 8 or 9 overnight, noting that you'll want to turn it down again during the day.

Nice apartment near the village of Alpe D’Huez. The building is verry old but the apartment is clean and completely renovated. Staying with 6 people is far to much, staying with 4 is oke…… but there is only one bathroom, while on the site advertising of 2 bathrooms. Just a little thing, there is no water cooker!
