Familial house with garden, just on the lake

We statyed there in late september and swam every day. The house is charming and is close to a good restuaurant and grocery store. It is right on the bike route and walking distance from Old annecy. Coming from Canada, and not having used VRBO in france before, there were a number of issues that needed to be resolved by the owner Christine. Most people likely know these things, but to have a zero stress experience, here is what you need to know. 1. There is a 1000 euro deposit. Unless you have a european bank account you will need CASH. There is also a requirement for damgage insurance. This is available on the VBRO website, and according to VRBO these requirements are common. 2. You will need to sign a renters agreeet in MS word. To sign this, you will need a print to PDF function and adobe reader. 3. If you require heat, you need to ask. This is very common in europe. 4. We needed 2 full bathrooms and 3 bedrroms. We used VRBO serach to fitler for this. Many houses, including this one, charge less if you dont use all the bedrooms and lock out that section of the house. In this case, the 4th bedroom included the second full bath and was locked. Christine gratiously opened this up for us, but VBRO does not understand this partitionining on ANY property.

We loved our stay at this house. The location was perfect as we had a boat with us and spent all the time on the lake. However Annecy is only a short walk away with plenty of restaurants . We wanted a family 'home from home' as it was my 6oth birthday celebration with all my children and grandson. We would love to return every year

We spent a lovely 7 weeks in this beautiful old house. We felt like we had stepped back in time onto a movie set of a European holiday. It was well equipped with everything we needed. There were lots of directions about how to work everything and how to look after the house. Christine was very helpful if we needed anything. The highlights were the view of the lake, the sunsets, the private pier and the provision of a canoe which our kids paddled in most days. The location is superb, being close to annecy, but also the lakeside villages. We bought second hand bikes from bazaar sans frontiers (which we can recommend) and then rode everywhere.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour, la maison est idéalement placée face au lac, le jardin clos permet aux enfants de jouer sans danger. En revanche, la maison est assez désuète ainsi que le matériel et nous avons eu à déplorer toute la semaine les travaux de construction d'une piscine juste à côté (pelleteuse), pour lesquels nous n'avions pas été prévenus et qui ont entraîné beaucoup de bruit. A noter que la propriétaire, désolée des nuisances, nous a offert les charges non comprises initialement dans le prix.
