About this house rental

A short distance from sailing, birdwatching, and more, this family-friendly vacation home lets you experience it all. There's convenient onsite parking, so you can leave your vehicle behind and let your feet make short work of the 4-minute walk to Étretat Gardens or the 10-minute walk to Etretat Beach.

We had a wonderful time at the Clos du mont. We really enjoyed our vacation in this old norman estate above Étretat. The garden is beautiful and invites you to rest and relax. When getting up early you are almost alone on the cliffs and have an incredible view at the Porte d'Aval.

It is an exceptionally beautiful place. You can reach main attractions of Normandy, restaurants and shops within a few minutes walk, but at the former farm you can enjoy peace and nature. The house is fully equipped and very nice. Yes, there is no WiFi (but good mobile phone reception). And with a hectare of private space, the sound of wind and the changing light of sunset in the trees, we did not miss at all.

Das Haus riecht muffig, besonders im Erdgeschoss, was auch durch regelmäßiges Lüften nicht zu beheben war. Die letzte Grundreinigung hat im besten Fall vor der Saison stattgefunden. Die Ausstattung in den Schlafzimmern ist spartanisch, kein Kleiderschrank, die Kommoden sind nur teilweise nutzbar, da mehrere Schubladen mit Sachen des Eigentümers belegt sind. Wir hatten Glück mit dem Wetter und haben sowohl die absolute Ruhe und Einsamkeit im idyllischen Garten als auch den kurzen Weg zu den fantastischen Klippen ausgiebig genossen.
