About this apartment rental
This corner apartment has a balcony going from the bedroom round to the sitting room seaview area. The bedroom has a double bed with good sized cupboards, dressing table and bedside table. There is a separate hall that leads to a bathroom and the kitchen sitting room area. The living room has a single bed for the extra guest , plus a dining room area and well equipped kitchenette leading out onto a sea view balcony. The spacious bathroom has a shower with wc and basin. From the apartment the shops are close by with tavernas a short walk. There are many beaches within walking distance highlighting Alymiros beach famous for its long sandy beach suitable for kids. The apartments are suitable for the elderly too as unlike most of the town we are on a flat road - no hills or many steps to climb. Anna enjoys walking so is pleased to take clients out into the hills along gorges and old minoan paths and visiting churches and monasteries. She can help you make an itinerary if you decide to hire a car as she has lived in Crete for 40 years so knows all the interesting not so touristy places to visit.

First impression of view from balcony when I saw a football/sports ground, was a bit disappointing, but actually it wasn't at all noisy, and I'd rather that than other buildings in front. You could still see the views. Apartment was clean, fairly well equipped, air con in bedroom but cld have done with one in the dining area as it was so hot. Anna and Vasilis were absolutely lovely, nothing was too much trouble. we were picked up and returned to the bus station, invited to their apartment for drinks etc to get to know them and giving us info on things to see and do. All amenities were very close by so did not have far to go for shopping. Lovely shops in town, great restaurants and bars. The people are so friendly in Crete, make you feel very welcome, speak in English too (which was a bonus). The land train trips are value for money, worth going on, especially the one to the olive farm where you get to have cookery lessons and make cheese. The semi-sub was good too, watching all the fish and sea turtles. There are 5/6 beaches to choose from, all walking distance too. We loved it and shall be returning next year!
