It's conveniently located just 1.5 km from the renowned sandy beach of Plakias. The interior decor is simple and minimalistic, while the exterior areas offer a high level of comfort. This brand new, one-floor villa accommodates up to 5 people. As you enter, you'll find a spacious open-plan area consisting of the living room, the indoor dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen with top-quality fixtures and appliances. The living room area has direct access to the veranda and the pool area. The villa features two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. There's also a bathroom with a shower and a washing machine. All bedrooms are equipped with individually controlled air conditioning and flat-screen TVs.
When it comes to beautiful beaches, the area is privileged with some of the best in Crete. The nearby famous beach of Preveli, with its palm forest, and Damnoni, are just two of the many unique choices. Majestic gorges and numerous historical and cultural sites can also be found in the vicinity.
The nearby village of Plakias is a picturesque village with a wide range of tourist attractions and is located just a few kilometers from Rethymno. It offers many taverns, restaurants, bars, mini markets, car rental agencies, and outdoor activity providers.

Overall the villa is excellent and the views are simply stunning. There are neighboring villas, but they are very private and in no way intrusive.
The cleanliness is first class. Somebody came every day to clean the small pool and terrace area and the house was cleaned several times during our stay.
The nearby town has an excellent selection of restaurants and bars and the beaches are very clean and not overcrowded, even in high season.
A few negative comments to note; there were no instructions on how to turn on the electricity and air con when you arrive. We had to telephone somebody. Also, the air con only works when all the doors are closed (good idea), but the terrace doors cannot be closed from outside so it is not possible to keep the villa cool while you are by the pool (bad idea). The pool steps were very lose and felt unsafe and a broken light fitting in the pool with hanging wires did not feel safe either.
We had problems with the toilet, including a broken seat when we arrived and these were not fixed until just before we left.
These negative comments should not distract from this excellent villa, I would highly recommend it!

Der Blick ist umwerfend, der Service unaufdringlich und nett. Ein Auto ist unbedingt notwendig.
Die Küche bräuchte eine Renovierung, bzw. Aufarbeitung, da wir aber immer auswärts Essen gehen, ist dies eigentlich kein Thema.

La villa a une vue superbe, exposée sud / ouest, les couchers de soleil sont magnifique, mais attention, il y a beaucoup de vent à PLAKIAS et donc étant donné la hauteur sur la colline, le lieu est venté. Dans ce cas, il est préférable de sélectionner la villa du milieu la n° 2 ANFIA ainsi elle est mieux protégée du vent et tout de même bien exposée;
En ce qui nous concerne nous avons été déçus car nous n'avons pas rencontré les propriétaires. Nous n'avions pas compris que nous passions par une agence et donc cela reste très "anonyme". D'autant qu'il n'y avait personne pour nous accueillir lors de notre arrivée et même chose pour le départ. Nous avons croisé une dame le lendemain, sans savoir s'il s'agissait de la dame de ménage ou de la propriétaire. C'est dommage car lorsque nous allons à l'étranger, nous aimons aussi beaucoup communiquer avec les gens.
Il serait intéressant que l'agence revoit également le descriptif de direction pour arriver. En effet, il est indiquer dans le détail que nous sommes arrivés sur place lorsque l'on voit le panneau PYRGOS, mais il y a 3 villas au dessus qui portent le même nom et cela est trompeur quand on habite dans les 3 villas du dessous !
L'agence ne nous a également pas donné le nom de la villa lors de la réservation et comme il n'y avait personne sur place pour nous accueillir et que 2 villas étaient libres, nous étions perdus et ne savions laquelle prendre. Des allemands sont arrivés et heureusement qu'eux savaient dans quelle villa ils devaient aller.
Les photos de la terrasse figurant sur Abritel pour la villa réservée ne correspondent pas à celle qui nous était attribuée ! D'où se flou à l'arrivée !
Sinon, la villa est spacieuse et agréable à vivre, même si le mobilier de cuisine est un peu vieillot et que le "fonds de cuisine" prévu au contrat s'est limité à un peu de sucre, de poivre et des filtres à café.... pas de sel, pas d'huile (un comble quand on voit le nombre d'oliviers !) pas de vinaigre. Dommage !
J'espère qu'à la lecture de ce commentaire, les choses seront modifiées pour accueillir sereinement les futurs visiteurs !
