About this farm stay rental
Montegonfoli 2 is an apartment with two double bedrooms, with living room/kitchen, suitable for 4 adults and two children under 12 years old. Montegonfoli 2 is part of the farmhouse of the same name, a sort of small and ancient village made up of 4 buildings, located on the top of the highest hill in the district, which gives it an incomparable view of San Gimignano and the Tuscan hills. The ancient farmhouse, built between the 17th and 18th centuries, has been renovated with passion and dedication and divided into 6 comfortable apartments, probably the largest in the area, with dimensions between approximately 60 and 95m2.
The property also includes a plot of land of 23 hectares, divided between vineyards, which produce prestigious grapes such as Vernaccia di San Gimignano and Chianti Colli Senesi, olive groves (we have around 1000 trees), arable fields (wheat, sunflowers, rapeseed, etc.) and a fantastic forest through which a stream flows, a place where adults and children alike love to go on short excursions. Our facility is located very close to the center of San Gimignano, exactly two km as the crow flies, and 3.6km by road, and therefore enjoys both the advantages of the countryside and proximity to the town centre. Those who love animals will find wonderful company in the horses of our neighbors, who run a well-known riding school, from which hourly excursions depart into our countryside and woods. The neighbors also run a special restaurant, extremely "SOCIAL", famous for its good food and for the owner's ability to socialize and entertain diners from all over the globe.

We’ve had a really great holiday! The agri is at an amazing location with beautiful view on the Tuscany landscape and San Gimignano. And our host Bruno was really nice, helpful and involved! Thanks Bruno!

Wir waren mit unserem Urlaub zufrieden. Allerdings waren so zwei, drei Sachen die man besser machen könnte. Die "Mikrowelle" ist ein Ofen der nicht geht. Es gibt keinen Backofen. Mein Fön hat nicht in die Steckdose gepasst, da empfiehlt sich ein Adapter mitzubringen.Eisfach war für richtiges Eis leider auch unbrauchbar. Und der Pool ist abends bis 19.30 Uhr geöffnet, kein Springen, kein Spielzeug erlaubt. Und es ist wirklich sehr, sehr weit ab vom Schuss. Sollte man vorher beachten. Bruno war nett, da gibt es nicht gegen zu sagen.

Great location , but not again Maybe we caught them on a bad week ?It felt very owner dominated? The manager was nice , but at times felt like acting on owners pedantic and overburdening rulesArrival was easy and welcoming... a bottle of wine was given ... a nice touch.It feels very much like a place that wants to make money from tourists but does not want them there?I am all for rules.... it’s my job but they need to be enforced in a reasonable and balanced way !The first was a passive/aggressive approach to diving ... I get it ... no diving sensible. But the 4 children are all competent swimmers ... and because occasionally just dive in ... it was always deep end (approx 2 metres) ...,They were chastised over this ... maybe would have been best to monitor this instead of clamping down immediately! Next one ... my eldest stepson has ADHD and autism ... so we are fully aware of monitoring his behaviour ... Day 1 we gently told the kids to keep a check on their noise ... although they were not noisier than any other 4 children. Day 2 the owner was in the block near the pool in reception... after about 30 minutes the owner came out gesticulating in Italian ... the pool is for everyone ... stop the noise ... the noise level was 4 kids in a pool ... yes noise but not excessive!On Day 1 the eldest son had difficulty getting WiFi in apartment so took a dining chair onto step ..... he was told off for this ... even though the chair was probably £40 max .... The pool also had rules .... opening 9:00. - 130 —- 3-7:30 ... just weird and very inconvenient. What do you actually do with 4 wet children for 90 minutes???It became apparent that the owners wanted this protected time for them ... I get it but don’t run a tourist business ..To add annoyance the female owner came into pool during tourist time ... no issue but rules should be consistent!I also observed a tiny German boy being told off for spinning a shade on the sunbed ... really no issue ! I am not sure if the rules were consistently enforced ... one time a German father and son were throwing an inflatable ball to each counting ... quite loudly ... ein ... zwei ... drei.. . Maybe they were told in a passive:aggressive way stop counting loudly ? Oh and inflatables are banned ... I am guessing they were as as they spent little time around the pool ... like us . We had three unexpected trips to Florence , Siena & San Gimignano... all wonderful but cost an extra to £500 to budget . Nice .. but not kids
