About this house rental
Villa Begonia is a charming two-story apartment that is part of a villa located on top of a small hill. It sleeps 13 people. From Villa Begonia you will enjoy a splendid view of the Pesa Valley and of Montelupo Fiorentino. Villa Begonia is 210 square meters (2260 square feet). It features a private swimming pool, a nice private terrace, a private patio, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed), winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be roughly 2 km (1.2 miles) from Montelupo Fiorentino, where you will find restaurants, shops and public transportation. You will find a grocery store at 1.5 km (roughly 1 mile).
To stay at Villa Begonia you will need a car. You will be able to park it inside the entrance gate.
Villa Begonia is tended by a caretaker, who resides in an apartment with separate entrance on the top floor.

Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is 6 meters (20 feet) large by 12 meters (39 feet) long, from 90 centimeters (2.9 feet) to 1.4 meters (4.6 feet) deep. It is heated. The area is equipped with sun umbrellas, sun loungers and an external shower. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a broad view of the valley and of Montelupo Fiorentino. The pool is open from mid-May until the end of September, from 10 am to 7 pm.
Patio
The patio is 70 square meters (750 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a characteristic roof. It is equipped with a rocking chair and with a table, chairs and a swing. Here you will also find a brickwork barbecue and a wood-fired pizza oven. From the patio you will have a nice view of the Tuscan hills.
Garden
The garden is 3000 square meters (32300 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a wood roof and by fruit trees. It is equipped with a table, chairs and sun loungers. In the garden you will find a fenced children's playground. From the garden you will enjoy a spectacular view of the Tuscan hills.

You will be able to enter the kitchen from the corridor. The furnishings are modern and comfortable. It is well equipped, with a six-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, an Italian-style coffee-maker, an American-style coffee-maker (bring your filters!), a toaster and a kettle. The dining table can accommodate 14 guests. The kitchen is also equipped with a flat-screen satellite television (local channels). From the kitchen a French door will take you to the patio. The room has a window with a view of the greenery, and is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

We highly recommend Villa Begonia for Tuscany travelers. The house is new, very quiet, very well equipped, very modern -- and everything works wonderfully well. We stayed a full month, with a variety of guests each week. Everyone loved the home, property and hosts. The host is an engineer and the home was designed and built in 2003-2005 with the highest quality products. The kitchen, as well as the outdoor entertaining space, are perfect for family or communal dinners. We even used the outdoor wood-burning oven. And the pool is new, pristine, and surrounded by an acre of fruit trees and roses. We couldn't have chosen a better place for our vacation!
Montelupo Fiorentino itself is a charming small town (about 14,000 residents) and shop owners and staff were very friendly, as well as willing to chat in Italian, with those of us practicing the language (though they all could speak English, also). We really enjoyed being in a small town that was easy to navigate and very close to the house.
We were off somewhere almost every day, either by train to Florence, Bologna or Siena, or by car to wander through the hills to wineries and remote villages. The restaurants in the area are excellent, and the grocery store is close at hand for supplies. We will definitely return for our next Tuscan vacation!

We highly recommend Villa Begonia for Tuscany travelers. The house is new, very quiet, very well equipped, very modern -- and everything works wonderfully well. The host and hostess are delightful people who were extremely welcoming and helpful, whether it was making restaurant reservations, providing directions, or educating us on where to shop or visit in the area.
It is very convenient to travel by train from Montelupo to any large cities and to most of the mid-size Tuscan towns in the area. We stayed a full month, with a variety of guests each week. Everyone loved the home, property and hosts.
The host is an engineer and the home was designed and built in 2003-2005 with the highest quality products. The kitchen, as well as the outdoor entertaining space, are perfect for family or communal dinners. We even used the outdoor wood-burning oven. And the pool is new, pristine, and surrounded by an acre of fruit trees and roses. We couldn't have chosen a better place for our vacation!

Villa Begonia is very well maintained and equipped by the owners. It is near to the highway which makes travelling to all the tourist sites very easy and convenient.
The owners, who live on-site in an attached house, are the most hospitable and helpful people you can find. They went out of their way to help and it makes the holiday so much better.
I have no hesitation in recommending Villa Begonia.
