About this house rental
Fabrica Residence is a fully renovated house based on the traditional Cretan building concept. The name “Fabrica” come from the building's origins as an oil mill until 1958, and is a stone-wood build that takes you back to a different age. The house is a 100m2 maisonette with a fully equipped kitchen, one bathroom,one living room and one bedroom. On the ground floor you will find the kitchen the dining area and the living room with a lovely traditional fireplace. On the upper floor there is the bathroom and the bedroom. It is an open space maisonette that make you feel you are home.

When you arrive we have a welcome pack for you including traditional "Raki" drink, homemade biscuits, homemade marmalade, extra virgin oil and more...!
Fabrica Residence is ideal for both summer and winter vacations. If you visit from November to January you will also have the opportunity to visit local oil mills and see how olive oil has been made for generations.
We are always pleased to meet you personally upon your arrival and make you familiar with the accommodation and area. We are at your disposal for any assistance you may need and always happy to share with you our knowledge of local customs and culture.

The house is an excellent starting point close to many archaeological sites Gortys(10km), Faistos (33 km) Monastery Kaliviani (24km), Monastery of Panagia Hodegetria (24km), Monastery of koudouma(30km) and areas of natural beauties Matala(34km), Lenta (24km) Three churches(25km), Saint Jonh( 16km),Eligia 16,9(km). Our guests will have the opportunity to do a variety of activities like hiking, jogging, cycling, and bird watching. Please do not hesitate to ask for further details.

Das historische Haus besitzt dank stilgerechter Gestaltung beinahe feudale Eleganz. In der Ortsmitte gelegen nimmt man teil am dörflichen Alltag. Der Blick geht über den benachbarten Hof auf das Meer der Oliven und die Schneeberge. Im Wohnbereich bleibt es kühl, oben gibt es aircondition. Großartige Orangenmarmelade und leckere Kekse und dergleichen erwarten die Gäste, welche diese Region im Südosten erkunden möchten.

Ein nettes, sehr vollständig und liebevoll eingerichtetes Häuschen, ideal für 2 Personen. Die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet, mit dem hier vorhandenen Geschirr könnte man auch 16 Personen mühelos bewirten... Alles war wie beschrieben und wie auf den Fotos zu erkennen. Andreas hat uns nett empfangen, und auch für das erste Frühstück stand alles bereit, sogar köstliche hausgemachte Marmelade. Die Lage ist sehr zentral in Fournofarango; das Dorf ist landwirtschaftlich geprägt, die Leute alle sehr freundlich. Von hier aus kann man perfekt Ausflüge in alle Richtungen unternehmen, ein Auto ist allerdings unverzichtbar. Die nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in Vagionia (kleiner Supermarkt, Bäcker, Gemüseladen, Metzger), die nächsten großen Supermärkte gibt es in Moires. Eine gute Taverne ist in Loukia, in 15 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Nur die Terrasse konnten wir nicht nutzen, da wir im Februar da waren und das Wetter nicht mitspielte; sie bietet auch nur wenig Privatsphäre - zum Sonnen würde man wohl eher an den Strand fahren. Hingegen haben wir den Kamin ausgiebig genutzt und zusammen mit der Klimaanlage im oberen Stockwerk die Wohnbereiche einigermaßen warm bekommen.
