About this cottage rental
Relax and unwind at this 8-bedroom cottage in Möderscheid with your extended family and friends, a total of 26 people. The cottage has an infrared sauna and a Turkish steam bath for an unforgettable experience.
The village of Amel Möderscheid is a quiet spot in the Waimes region, close to Stavelot. At 4 km, you have restaurants, supermarkets and nightlife pubs to enjoy the local environment. You will find the lively town centre and the beautiful lake at 5 km, perfect for spending time in the evenings. There are also plenty of cycling routes in the vicinity and at 5 km, you can play paintball.
This cottage has central heating. When you sit together, you can light the fireplace in the living room. You can collect on the private terrace to enjoy barbecued meals with wine. Later, go for walks in the garden or sit outside in the fresh air. Enjoy playing table tennis, table football and billiards in the recreation room. A playground for children and parking is available.
We now have an 11kW charging station for cars at the cottage. This is activated using a badge provided on site and charging is billed with the general electricity consumption.
For reasons of tranquillity, this holiday home will not be rented to groups of youngsters

In eerste instantie maakte het verblijf een fijne en goede indruk. Kamer 109 was ondanks de vrij hoge schoonmaakkosten niet schoon en zijn foto's hiervan aan de eigenaar getoond. Het douchewater voor deze kamer was ondanks de hoge energiekosten, gas, water, en elektriciteit (rekening achteraf) voor deze 3 dagen niet warm (na 2 minuten een koude straal). Ook was er een dominante rioollucht in de badkamer van kamer 109 aanwezig. Bij elkaar zijn dit 3 punten voor 1 kamer. We hebben deze punten bij vertrek aangegeven bij de eigenaar. De eigenaar gaf aan dat we deze punten bij hen hadden moeten aangeven. Wij hebben aangegeven dat gezien de hoge huurkosten de huurder mag verwachten dat de eigenaar dit zelf zou en had moeten signaleren. Huurders mogen verwachten dat alles naar behoren functioneert, in goede staat verkeerd en er enige comfort aanwezig is wat in verhouding zou moeten staan met de (hoge) huurprijs. Uitgangspunt bij verhuurders zou moeten zijn dat er in 1e instantie voor de huurder geen vervelende constateringen, irritaties, discussies e.d. bij aankomst of tijdens het verblijf plaats zouden moeten vinden. Gasten komen doorgaans voor onbezorgde, gezellige en fijne dagen en staan niet te wachten op vervelende situaties. Om deze redenen hebben wij deze klachten pas achteraf bij de eigenaars aangegeven. Waarbij we willen aangeven dat de eigenaars ook welwillend waren en gehoor gaven aan bijvoorbeeld het beschikbaar stellen van een vuurschaal. Daarnaast hebben we bij de eigenaars aangegeven het servies in het verblijf te controleren op de vele beschadigen en was de wifi niet altijd beschikbaar. Een laatste opmerking willen we maken over het verzoek van de eigenaar om de kamers een half uur eerder te verlaten zodat eerder met de schoonmaak kon worden begonnen. Ter compensatie werd de vertrektijd met een halfuur uitgesteld. Wij hebben hierbij onze bedenkingen. Punt is dat de (hoge) energiekosten tijdens de schoonmaak, door het verbruik van water, gas en elektriciteit dubbel bij de huurder in rekening worden gebracht, immers deze energiekosten zijn al in de schoonmaakkosten verrekend. De verbruiksstanden van water, gas en elektriciteit worden namelijk bij vertrek genoteerd en achteraf bij de huurder in rekening gebracht. Ondanks deze aandachtspunten kunnen wij terugkijken op een erg leuke en gezellige familiereünie in een mooie omgeving.

The house reflected the expectations; however when we arrived it was so cold that it took one full day to heat it up, so we suggest to ask the owner to pre-heat it to avoid a very unconfortable half of the stay. Everything else great and the owner very kind and helpful.

Nice house, there are 20 people geweest.Kijk off by the verwarming.Als you arrive everything is cold, you go firing and counter loopt.Mijn familly have not watched op.Kachels five and all day weg.wij had 332 euros for the oil to pay for a week.Ook electricity is expensive, especially the sauna.Kosten electricity for a week 221 euro.Voor the rest is a beautiful house lot ruimte.Vriendelijke owner, super omgeving.Afval collect separate plastic bottles, cans , paper and glass are gratis.Voor the rest you have to pay per bag.
