Ancient stone farmhouse, 220 sq. m., holding up to 14 persons in 6 double bedrooms with 2 extra beds and 6 bathrooms. The house has a private swimming pool in a marvellous sunny position, a garden with games for children, a covered veranda perfect for outdoor lunches with a barbecue, internet, satellite TV and air conditioning in the whole house (except the kitchen). The property is ideal for families with children or for groups of friends looking to spend holidays together in nature.
Outdoor Area and Swimming Pool
The outdoor area is well-kept, with plants, flowers and lawn, complete with sunbeds and many relaxing areas for admiring the surrounding countryside. The pool has a Roman staircase leading into the water and is 6 metres by 12 with a depth of 0.9-1.5 metres. The pool is in a marvellous position and can be reached via a few steps. All around is the paved bathing area with sunbeds, beach umbrellas, shower and games for children. Guests can also use the small shaded loggia, with wrought-iron table and chairs and a curious window overlooking the view. You can also have outdoor lunches and barbecues in the large stonework portico with long wooden table, benches and chairs, a portable barbecue and ping pong table, right next to the “summer” kitchen/washing area. Parking for 4 cars is just outside the property.Interior
Recently restored, the farmhouse has maintained its typical Tuscan aspects, like the stone facade, wood-beamed ceilings and cotto flooring. The living area is on the first floor, accessible via an outdoor 12-step staircase which leads to a large terrace and to a bright living room with sofas and armchairs with fireplace, satellite TV and a long table for 14. Next to the living room, you will find the kitchen, well-equipped and with a rustic charm, complete with table and pantry where you will find a fridge which also makes ice. The night area has: 1 double bedroom with 1 extra bed and bathroom with shower, 1 double with bathroom with bathtub, 1 double with bathroom with shower, 1 double bedroom (which other guests pass through) with extra bed and bathroom with shower outside the room, 1 double bedroom with bathroom with shower outside the room, 1 double bedroom with bathroom with shower and a small living room/kitchen with outdoor access.
Location
Casale Montenero is in a calm area with a great view of the surrounding hills, in the D.O.C. area of Montecucco, with Montalcino and Pienza both nearby.

The house has Wi-Fi, central heating, air conditioning in the whole house (except the kitchen), mosquito screens in the rooms, baby bed, high chair, hairdryer.

We also recommend visiting Maremma, with its Etruscan towns, and the beaches on the coastline. You can visit and taste to products of the surrounding farms, as well as go for walks and hiking.

I cannot say enough positive things about this villa. We stayed for four nights and hosted a family reunion. Miss Daniella and her daughter, Vanessa, were exception hosts. They prepared an extensive breakfast for us all four days. Additionally, Miss Daniella prepared a fantastic Tuscan dinner for us upon arrival (we had requested this in advance). Her food was delicious and her hospitality was exceptional! Miss Daniella also prepared a lunch for 16 people on one of the days, as we were hosting family from Grosseto this day. Our Italian cousins were raving about the food, location and hospitality! We were also able to purchase some of the wine and olive oil that was made at her farm. This stay, at Miss Daniella's, will be a memory that we will treasure forever!!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus verfügt über sehr viel Platz, so dass jeder genügend Rückzugsort hat. Es war alles sauber. Die Gastgeber waren sehr hilfsbereit und haben kleinere Probleme sofort behoben.
Leider war die Mückenplage zu der Zeit sehr groß, was abends sehr lästig war.
Den Wein und das Olivenöl haben wir auch genossen.

We rented the villa to accommodate a get together of family and friends from around the world (Canada, UK, South Africa) to celebrate multiple birthdays and just get together after lengthy breaks and it was perfect for this purpose. Despite the language barrier, our host Daniela was very friendly and accommodating. The villa has a lovely private function dining room, which the host uses if you ask her to cook one of her wonderful meals. Access to the property is rough in parts, so take it slow, but the location makes the effort worthwhile, as the views are stunning. The wines produced are very good and can be purchased from Daniela at short notice Do remember the villa is located on a working farm, so you can see first hand the cultivation of the vines and crops. This is not intrusive to your enjoyment, though sometimes flies can be a bit of an irritant. Overall we enjoyed ourselves immensely and recommend - if you are arriving on Saturday, doe remember that shops in the local towns will be closed on Sunday - we had to drive back to Grosseto on Sunday for food and wine supplies.
