The Cuan Boutique Hotel

Dolores in reception was lovely. She warmly greeted us and showed us our rooms and our rooms were ready upon arrival so we were able to put our luggage in straight away. The room was well decorated and clean and modern. Lovely shower and bathroom had soap and shower gel. There were hooks in the room for hanging clothes (essential for our wedding outfits). The location was lovely. Right next to ferry to access Portaferry on main area of Strangford village.

It was a very hot day and particularly hot in the bedroom despite the window open all day and curtains closed. We wished there was a fan in the room but there was nobody on reception to ask when we went downstairs at night. There was also no water in the room (tap water/bottled water)so no way of making a cup of tea or coffee or even having a drink after a busy day of travelling. I think water in a room and a fan provision is really a bare minimum for accommodation. There was no oat milk at breakfast so we took our coffee black.

They had problem with heating or a pump so we missed a nice hot shower and the shower n bathroom were great fab view from window in wc and bedroom.

The rooms were beautifully decorated and clean and the bed was very comfortable

It is essentially a restaurant with rooms there is nowhere quiet to relax other than the very busy food serving area - it is overpriced as such - from the website it suggests it is more like a boutique hotel - the breakfast was just average quality and the server would not give us peace to eat it when it was set down with too much chat. Sorry to say we were very disappointed
