The Isle of Mull Hotel lives up to the expectations given on the website. Great location, with fabulous views, excellent, friendly staff and great spa and swimming pool. The massage is particularly recommended. Unfortunately the weather (typical Scottish rain) meant I couldn't use the outside spa area. One thing to note is that the Hotel is a long building on different levels so depending on the room there can be quite a lot of walking and stair climbing.
Some things could be improved. There were no bedside lamps in my room. The decor is retro and there were high, overbed reading lights but to switch off and on I had to sit up in bed and reach up to find the small switch. Not good in the middle of the night esp as the blackout curtains are very effective.
At the end of an unusually hot summer the room was very hot and the duvet of Arctic quality and the only way I could see to keep the window open at night was with an improvised wedge.
The service in the bar area was erratic, perhaps not enough staff or insufficient training. I am still waiting for the dessert menu I asked for on my last night.
But overall these were minor points and didn't spoil the overall very relaxing stay on Mull.

Had an amazing stay. Quite close to the ferry terminal so amazing for those wo travel without a vehicle. Hotel had bicycles for rent, so exploring the island was easy. The staff were friendly and allowed us for a late check out 🙂 Amazing food, had room services which we appreciated a lot after a long day cycling.
