This cottage has a lovely location. Lake Idro is smaller and quieter than Garda, and this is a holiday home for those who want a more secluded stay (though we were there in September - may be busier in high season). There are two apartments in the building, a larger one on the lower two floors and a smaller single-floor one at the top - all clean, tidy and comfortable. There's a pretty garden where you can sit and enjoy views over the lake and the mountains, and a small beach just the other side of the road at the bottom of the garden. All very quiet and restful. The village a few miles down the road has a small supermarket and there's a larger Coop at the next village along. NB there's no Wifi, but there is TV - and plenty of scope for walking and swimming. Last but not least, the owners, Michele and Miriam, are charming and generous hosts and live close enough to be able to solve problems and advise if needed. We felt by the end of our stay tht we could regard them as friends rather than just landlords. The only other thing I'd add is that the motorway is some 50 km away on a road that can get quite jammed, which means you need to allow a couple of hours or more to visit cities such as Verona or Bergamo. Brescia is closer, and also worth a visit. Like I say, a place for those who want to relax in quiet, beautiful surroundings and explore the local countryside (which is magnificent) rathe than as a city sightseeing centre.

Het huisje was makkelijk te vinden. We werden welkom geheten door de eigenaar, rondgeleid door het huis. Allemaal netjes en prima. Het huisje ligt direct aan het Idromeer, een hele mooie plek.

Dank der ruhigen Lage und dem sehr schönen und gut gepflegtem Haus konnten wir uns bestens erholen.

Das Haus liegt direkt am see.Die Einrichtung ist einfach ein aber schön.Alles sauber.Hat uns sehr gut gefallen.
