The location is quite nice, not directly in the center, but close enough for a calm stay without the city center buzz, and also a short walk from the train station, with private parking and a supermarket around the corner. The apartment is comfortable and well equipped, we had everything we needed. They also leave a bottle of wine and some water in the fridge, which was super nice.
The process to collect the keys is not straight forward, I received a lot of messages on WhatsApp, some in French and some in English, with a video on how to get to the keys instead of proper addresses. And returning the garage keys is also a bit confusing, but overall it was manageable.
A couple of nights we ran out of hot water but it was back in the morning so we didn't bother complaining.
The worst part was that one morning we left only with the garage keys and noticed after that those wouldn't open the apartment door. We immediately contacted the host and agreed to get spare keys from her at the end of the day. I messaged the host around 6pm and couldn't get an answer until almost 10pm, when I already had a locksmith on the way. When she showed up she said she forgot I didn't have keys and her phone ran out of batter. After that she messaged me apologizing and saying that she hoped this wouldn't impact the review and - in the end - it was all my fault. I had my 90yo grandmother with me, outside for hours, and the host's main focus was to blame me. This did not sit well at all.

Tout. Appartement fonctionnel avec belle terrasse bien ensoleillée, parking, dans résidence sécurisée. Très calme. Supermarchés à quelques mètres. Centre d'Aix à 5 minutes à pied.

A very spacious and clean appartement right next to the city centre. The big balcony is definitely a plus and also the beds were very comfortable.

Nice apartment with air conditioning. Very conveniently located to city center.
Parking directions were unclear and the owner doesn’t speak English at all. When we had problems it was very frustrating trying to resolve them.
