The property is a design house located in a little village near Pontedera, between Florence and Pisa. Surrounded by nature, Relais Il Grillo is in a strategical place: a less than an hour from Florence and just 30 minutes far from Pisa and Lucca. *** 6 days minimum stay check - in before 4 p.m. and check-out after 9 a.m. *** . Beautiful villa with a magnificent pool.Terrace with a magnificent view.Villa with all the comforts.In the middle of nature with lots of privacy.In short, a fantastic place for a wonderful stay in central Tuscany.

It has been our second time staying at this place - ideally situated to explore Florence yet also not too far away to reach the coastline for swimming and Cinque Terre for an excursion. We will certainly come back again.

My husband and i stayed at Relais il Grillo in late June after seeing the beautiful photos on HomeAway and we can say that the photos do not do this place justice, It is even more amazing in real life. The house is decorated and furnished to a very high standard, having everything you could possibly need during your stay. The pool area and garden is such a peaceful and stunning area to relax in, surrounded by beautiful flowers and trees. Then in the evening you can relax on the terrace with a glass of wine and watch a beautiful sunset. The location of the property is very good, with easy access to the fi-pi-li road between Pisa and Florence making most places in Tuscany within driving distance, we had great days out to Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano, the val d'Orcia and Chianti regions, with even a trip to the stunning beach of Baratti ( we didn't go to Pisa or Florence because we had been to them on a previous trip). Closer to the property there are the lovely small towns of Montopoli and San Miniato with great Restaurants. The Owner Giacomo is a lovely man who makes you very welcome to his house, he recommends places to eat locally which were very good and makes you aware that he is only at the end of a phone if you need anything and lives a short distance away.We loved this house and the region and can not wait to return,Thank you very much Giacomo.
