WiFi in the rooms

The location close to the slopes and ski departure area, as well as proximity to the shops. I also liked that this place had a pool and spa area. I also liked that there was fitness equipment, a nice salon for WIFI, and overall, a good place to stay if you are on a budget....but if you are looking for real comfort, this is not the best.

The pool and spa area were open only very short hours of the day--10 to 12, and 4 to 7.30 pm. The staff, particularly the man working there in the management, was draconian in terms of his approach to the pool hours. I also felt monitored in this building as there were CCTV cameras everywhere and it felt strange to be observed all of the time. I also was very frustrated with the electrical problems experienced in our apartment, because the breaker box was apparently needing some renovation. every time I turned on the stove the entire breaker box would flip and so I had to wait sometimes 30 mins to cook anything on the stovetop. We did not have water anywhere near the stove so I could not understand why there was a short circuit but something was wrong and we could not solve it. When this happened, at night, there was no one at the welcome desk after 7 pm and no emergency number to call for anyone on site, so guests are completely on their own if they have a problem related to the property. I found this very difficult, as anything occurring between 7 PM and 8 AM means that you wiill not be able to find an employee there to help you. Finally, Montalbert is a remote location for the Plagne ski resort so you need to plan on your return there by ski in the evening to not miss the last chairlift back. So you do have to know that this is the least central of the entire Plagnes resort--closest by car to the highway, but farthest from the center and from the action of the rest of the (large) resort.
