Staying in Vacation Home Nana gave us the chance to deeply connect with Mokra Gora’s nature, culture, and people. The wooden cabins, renovated true to their original form by a family that has lived in this region for over 300 years, offered an authentic and peaceful experience. It truly felt like time had stopped. Željko was incredibly warm and welcoming. He greeted us with genuine kindness while still respecting our privacy. We were welcomed with coffee upon arrival and sent off with more upon our departure. On the second night, his father offered us his homemade rakija, distilled from the fruit of his garden tree, it tasted really good and strong. Talking to him was truly meaningful. Their love for the land and their village is visible in how they care for the garden and the deep sense of peace the space radiates. These people are honest, warmhearted, and generous. Being here made us feel like we now have a home in Mokra Gora. We are grateful for everything and would love to come back!
Minor suggestion:
Maybe the bedroom window could have a fly screen. We understand it might take away from the authenticity , but it could help during summer nights when insects are more active.

Lovely traditional cottage in a beautiful setting. There is everything you need provided in the cottage, and a nice wood fire for the cooler nights. The hosts are very friendly and nice to talk to. Beautiful views over the valley
