When we arrived at 7pm, our room was not ready and we had to wait a couple hours to get into our room. In the meantime we ate dinner their dining room which we also had to wait for a very long time. The Wienerschnitzel was unfortunately burned on the bottom side and the server forgot to bring the Kraut Salat. After waiting for 25 minutes I got up and reminded her to bring it. When we finally got to our room, it was not the large three bedroom room we had booked on Booking.com. Instead it was small room , less than half the size we had booked. The room had a queen bed and small bed, however so close one barely could pass. The view from the balcony was directly across to another apartment building. We also discovered a dirty towel and clothes in the closet from the previous guests. At 8:20 am the following morning we were awoken by the chamber maid knocking on our door to see if we had checked out. When we went to checkout at 10am we wanted to tell the reception how unhappy we were. But no one was in the hotel area, reception or restaurant. We waited a while calling for someone, when the maid finally appeared from the kitchen whom we then gave the key to. This was a very disappointing visit. We looked forward to our stay in Salzburg having driven there from France all in one day. I had called this Inn 15 minutes before arrival to make sure our room would be ready and the fellow on the other end promised all was ready. However instead there was confusion upon our arrival at the reception within the bar of the restaurant and the person checking us in was at a loss what to do. Apparently the room that we had booked, that was guaranteed for us was given instead to another family of three who arrived after us.
