Our host (Gustav) was very nice and helpful.
The air conditioning did not work properly in 2 bedrooms, but Gustav helped us and the problem was remedied quite quickly (one air conditioners has been completely replaced).
The pool was quite spacious, clean and the water was not cold.
The pool has a protective fence for children. Very useful for families with children, just like ours.
The kitchen was pretty well equipped having 3 large refrigerators, where you could store the whole supermarket, plus 1 wine cooler :)
A big plus is that all 4 bedrooms have their own very spacious bathroom (each bathroom has 2 sinks, a shower and a bathtub).
The gardener comes to clean twice a week. He takes care of the pool, too.
Close to supermarket/s (Lidl and Mercadona), but a car is mandatory.
At the time of arrival we paid a deposit of 500 euro (cash, as described in the presentation of the villa) which we received back after 7 days from the date of departure from Estepona.
It is not a big minus but it is good to specify, in future, with a minimum effort, something like this can be avoided.
Upon arrival in the house there was a small of unused "house". It may have been due to the fact that it had not been rented (due to COVID) for some time, but even in this case, if cleaning had been done more seriously (before guests arrival the floors can be washed with specific cleaning solution, not only with water ....) then it would have been something else. As you know the first impression matters, and the presence of the smell was not auspicious but we managed to remove this incovenient on our own with a minimum effort.

We loved the gate by the pool as we had a 3 young children during our stay and this gave us peace of mind when we were outside. There was plenty of space to sit outside and the bbq was really good. There were plenty of linen and blankets and towels available for use at the property and we were greeted by a bottle of champagne and wine glasses :-) The hosts were lovely.
We did find that the outside space was not very big, this looked bigger in the pictures. the location was great, very close to supermarkets, the beach and some restaurants. Overall we had a lovely time.
We would have liked the outside to have been presented a bit better as there were some areas that did not seem to have been cleaned very well prior to our arrival, but these were minor things.

The Villa was clean and had a good pool guard for small children.
The Villa is not in a central location so a car is needed or taxis to get around, this cost us a lot of extra money €25 one way to Marbella and €15 to Estepona. The photos are deceiving, it is not as big as you would expect and the decor is dated, there is also a musty smell when you first enter the house. The pool was cold so we asked the heating to be turned on, this came at the cost of an extra €200 normally this has always been included before in any villa that we have rented. On checkout the host sent a number of aggressive text messages about us leaving the property and threatened to charge us an extra 1.5 days rent, I felt like he was looking for an excuse to keep the €500 cash deposit that we gave him. After a lot of back and forth text messaging it took them two weeks to eventually return the deposit.
