About this apartment rental
The apartment:
The apartment is located on the first floor and was completely renovated in 2012. It is part of a three-storey building, which was renovated in the early 2000s. It is cool in summer and warm in winter, very quiet and bright. It has a large terrace with table and chairs for breakfast and a small vegetable garden.
It is equipped with independent heating, which can be turned on between October 15 and April 15 (unless otherwise provided by municipal law) for a maximum of 9 hours a day.
The neighbourhood:
The medieval neighbourhood is located just steps from the main monuments and the beautiful Piazza Grande, which is home of the Giostra del Saracino: a jousting tournament in medieval costume, which is held every year in June and September. Every first Sunday of the month and the previous Saturday, the famous Antiques Fair takes place in the surrounding streets of the old town. It is the oldest and the largest open-air event dedicated to antiques.
Florence, Siena and Perugia are less than an hour by car and/or public transport (train and bus). Nearby it is also possible to visit characteristic villages of the Val di Chiana (Cortona, Lucignano, Montepulciano...), Valtiberina (Sansepolcro, Anghiari, Città di Castello...) and the beautiful landscapes of Casentino.

This city apartment was perfect for us-exactly as the photos showed. It was very clean and nicely appointed with some special touches. Host Chiara made it very easy with good instructions, easy check-in and excellent recommendations when we asked for them. The terrace was an "out-back" and fairly private place for aperitivo, a bit of fresh air, and fun watching some cats playing in the yard next-door. Keep in mind, this is a city place. There are neighbors above, activity on the street below, teenagers on their way to school in the morning, etc. but it was quiet at night and easy to sleep. None of it bothered us, as we loved the life and liveliness of it all. It's a great location at the edge of the old city; we walked everywhere for 2 weeks, all the time, day and night. It's about 20 minutes walk to the opposite corner of the old city, with tons of museums, shops, eateries, bars and cafés in between. Easy walk to the train station and we did a couple day trips to Cortona and Firenze for variety. (But if you have wheeled luggage, do plan on a taxi to/from the station as the old stone streets and walkways are pretty chunky) Our longer stay did let us get some chats with residents on the street, who kindly indulged my tentative broken Italian. If you are able to walk uphill, half a mile or so straight up the street from the apartment is one of the most beautiful public parks I've ever seen. It was a worthwhile good hike and we went up several times to walk and enjoy the views.

This was a wonderful property and everything went perfectly. The apartment is located in the perfect spot of town… Inside the main walls and is convenient to all of the must see attractions. Chiara Was a wonderful host and was available at all times for any needs. Very friendly. The apartment was very clean and comfortable With a great kitchen and access to laundry facilities. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you!!

Chiara was an incredible host. She went beyond her role as host and listened to our interests and made recommendations to enhance our vacation experience.
Arezzo Centro is very walkable. The apartment is located conveniently close to restaurants, museums, churches and shops.
When there was a minor issue with a running toilet, she came herself and resolved the problem.
If I ever go back to Arezzo, I would definitely stay in the apartment again and would recommend it to friends and family.
