About this cottage rental
Beckford Lodge is a well appointed, detached 2 bedroom property within the grounds of Beckford Cottage, situated in the beautiful Yarty Valley, 4 miles from Axminster (train station and bus stops). We take bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The nearest village is Stockland, 2 miles away and the Lodge is almost equidistant between Stockland, Dalwood, Kilmington and Membury. There are good local pubs and many lovely walks. If you want to get away from it all, Beckford Lodge is the place for you. There is much wildlife in the extensive gardens and along the half mile stretch of private riverside. We are close to Lyme Regis, Branscombe, Beer, Sidmouth and Honiton. There is a fantastic and extremely well stocked farm shop open 7 days a week only 2 miles away and we are just 7 miles from the sea. Centrally heated, washing machine, cot available if required. Well behaved dogs welcome by arrangement. No smoking.

This is a well presented lodge with aforethought given to our needs. Isabel was especially caring to ensure our stay was as relaxing and as comfortable as possible. It is, however, a little closer to the cottage than perhaps is indicated in the pictures. The dogs were lovely but some may find their presence a touch invasive. The river also presented us with a little problem as the moist conditions are conducive to their presence! Overall though, for the price, this is a great place to spend a week.

we had an excellent stay in the lodge. we really appreciated the place, the welcome of our hosts, the garden and the surrounding hikes and visits: Lyme Regis, Beer, Exeter, etc. We recommend !!!
