About this house rental
Beautiful cottage with cozy fireplace in the kitchen-living room. Beautiful terrace with sea view. Enjoy on it also sunny hours and on cool evenings the heat from the grill. For more than 100 years, the area of Odsherred with its beautiful beaches and varied landscape is a favorite vacation area of the Danes. Surrounded by the Isefjord, the Kattegat and the bay of Sejerø, in whose waters the sun is reflected, you will experience a very special atmosphere in Odsherred, which can hardly be found anywhere else in Denmark. Odsherred is a geological uniqueness and beautiful as a geopark. On it you will find along the Tumulus Road, with the barrows and burial mounds, witnesses of the Stone and Bronze Age, the remains of a forest village in Ulkerup abandoned 300 years ago, the Hempel Glass Museum and in the Odsherred Museum the copy of the sun chariot found in the bog Trundholm Mose. You will also see the erratic boulder Lommesten and the castle Næsholm Borg, which stands on a small island in the lake Nygård Sø between Højby and Nykøbing Sj. On Odsherred there is also a nature school that lets you catch seafood, organizes butterfly safaris and expeditions into the forest, and invites you to go on troll and fox excursions. Your children will also be thrilled by a visit to the Odsherred Fire Museum. Nearby, visit Sommerland Sjælland, galleries that are also typical of Odsherreds and Dragsholm Castle from the 13th century. Havnebyen is the only real fishing harbor with cutters and a small smokehouse. Even recreational fishermen always get something on the hook here. In Nykøbing Sjælland you can do good shopping and enjoy the coffee house life. Seal safaris also depart from the harbor in Rørvig. From Rørvig you can sail to Hundested, from here it is only an hour's drive to Copenhagen. From Havnsø ferries go to the small islands Sejerø and Nekselø. On Sejerø there is beautiful nature, megalithic tombs and a church with lime paintings, on Nekselø a unique bird life awaits you and anglers will also find excellent fishing grounds here.
