About this apartment rental

The accommodation is a 3 room apartment with 2 large bedrooms, a living room with fitted kitchen, on the ground floor of a house with an independent entrance. Located between the beaches at 300 meters, the Pastré Park at 200 meters and the Calanques National Park. Starting point for many hikes and climbing sites. 10 mins walk from the port and the Pointe Rouge beach with its sailing and diving clubs. Easy and free parking in front of the accommodation.
It has a terrace with table and chairs for taking meals outside, and a small garden to relax in the deckchairs.
It can accommodate 1 to 5 people and is ideal for a couple with 2 or 3 children or 2 couples for example.
A baby cot, high chair and baby bath are available.

Located in the Montredon district, 5 minutes' walk from a small family beach (Colombet beach). Other beaches are also within walking distance: Glassware, Sablettes, Ladies' Bath.

Next to the Pastré park and at the foot of the Marseilleveyre massif, the hiking trails start at the end of the street.

Shops are nearby (bakery, butcher, fishmonger, pharmacy, fruit and vegetables, casino, ice cream parlor ...).

The neighborhood:
Very calm district of Marseilles which is similar to a village.
It is ideally located between the beaches at 400 meters and the Calanques National Park at 300 meters. Starting point for many walks or mountain biking, hiking (GR) and climbing sites.
Near the Campaign Pastré park, rich in activities for children (pony, tree climbing, rides and 5 minutes from Borély park (racetrack, golf, cycling, roller skating track ...).
5 minutes from the port of Pointe Rouge with its sailing and diving clubs and possibility of kayak and paddle rental ...

Transport:
Access by car from the city center: direction Les Plages then Les Goudes along the sea by the ledge. To park, no difficulty in front of the accommodation (free).

A car is not necessary for access to our house because the bus stop is 500 m.

The city center is accessible by bus 19 or with the RTM maritime shuttle from April to September (€ 5 / one way, departure every hour) from the port of Pointe Rouge to the old port.

Access by metro and bus: from Saint Charles train station Metro 2 towards Sainte Marguerite / Dromel, Castellane or Rond Point du Prado stop then bus 19 towards Madrague de Montredon (Grotte Rolland stop).

By boat from the Old Port: Shuttle towards Pointe-rouge.

From the airport, take the shuttle to St Charles station then the metro to Castellane then the bus Line 19 (Grotte Rolland stop).

Other remarks:
You will have at your disposal tourist documentation and the IGN map of the creeks.

This location is perfectly appointed for families with kids. The separate bedrooms, step stools and child chairs really made us feel home. The rental had a well stocked kitchen and everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy exploring the nearby beaches. As the listing states, we had no trouble parking on the street close by, but our rental car did have a window broken and a part from the interior stolen overnight. This isn’t something the host could have prevented and we don’t hold them responsible, but be aware to not leave valuables in parked cars. Otherwise the neighbourhood felt safe and friendly and we were happy to be so close to shops and the lovely bakery on the corner.

We really enjoyed being guests at Raphael and Stéphanes beautiful house! Everything you need and would expect is there. Montredon itself is an ideal location to discover Marseille and the Calanques.

Logement de vacances conforme à l' annonce et très bien situé. Nous n'avons pas vu le propriétaire mais tout s'est très bien déroulé pour recevoir les clés. Il a également pris de nos nouvelles et s'est montré disponible pour toutes questions.

Nos hôtes étant en congés pendant notre séjour nous n'avons pas eu le plaisir d'échanger avec eux. Cela nous a par ailleurs occasionné quelques désagréments : l'accueil, géré par une voisine, a été un peu expéditif, le logement avait besoin d'un grand ménage (poussière et moutons dans les chambres), une serviette sale était restée dans la machine, tout comme de la vaisselle dans le lave vaisselle ... A noter que le jardin est partagé avec les propriétaires : chacun son morceau, mais vous êtes vraiment à proximité. Nous n'avons pas été impacté puisqu'ils n'étaient pas là. Le logement est en fait un sous sol aménagé, c'est donc peu lumineux. La localisation est très bien, proche d'une petite plage, ligne de bus en bas de la rue, et les petites commerces sont également présent.
