Great location, nice palace building, large room, good breakfast. The preconditions for a luxury level experience are all there, just the host's attention to service is lacking.
You had to ask for stuff that should have been a given in any hotel (not just luxury level which is the price you are paying) e.g., getting a shower mat or towel to place on the slippery floor in front of the shower, information on parking situation specific to "feria" i.e., easter weekend. Hairdryer was not working. A proper couch in the room itself would have been adequate, not just in the communal area.
Also don't travel to Arles during Easter weekend if you're going there for the culture. It's basically one big spring break party all over town with loud music until 2 o'clock in the morning each day (in addition to bullfights in the roman amphitheater).

What a unique place to stay! I loved it. There is a wonderful breakfast set up either outside in the courtyard or in the elaborately painted dining room. You are kindly greeted and shown around. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is very central to everything. My room had a view of the amphitheater!
It was a little tricky to fine because the main door was closed when I arrived. There is a door just around the corner to the left with an intercom. I was buzzed in and greeted right away.

This 'bed and breakfast / hotel' name doesn't do it justice. Picture staying in an historic building in a great location. The room was magnificent. An enormous, spacious room with quality antiques, high ceilings, lots of natural light, AND a sitting room attached! The bathroom was modern so you had the historic charm of the room and building combined with modern comforts like a great shower, double basins, modern fixtures and a huge claw foot bath! Breakfast in the courtyard with statues or a fantastic story book room with sculptures and frescoes. Amazing place to stay for a few nights.
