Perfect location for weekend stay

Nothing. Perhaps a laminated sheet in the property with very clear instructions regarding the parking space would have helped. Other than that, our stay was good.

Good location to explore the Yorkshire Dales.

The location was not easy to find as the instructions seem to have been written for car drivers, as seems usual. The key box, and it was teeming with rain was about six inches [12 cm] above my head and I am 5foot 9inches. I did ring the owners and Andrew was most helpful. Persistence paid and we entered. My Down son kept me smiling as usual. Well set up downstairs and all one could want for pots, cutlery etc Heating is underflow, perhaps could have been emphasised in times when no logs provided!

The stairs which were narrow and steep and had no handrail. Perhaps a rope in hooks would make it safer? The details of the property just state: "Upper floors [Only one surely?] accessible by stairs only." They are not suitable for aged people. I am 75 but not on stairs such as these. The upstairs TV was only useable with minimal volume. Easy access to town facilities, with excellent chippy, next to good Chinese and 3/4 good pubs. And cafes.
