I recently stayed at Gugulie Apartments in Rome and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. The apartment was not properly maintained. The mattress was dirty, and instead of a properly made bed, only some bedsheets were left in the closet for me to set up myself. The freezer was in poor condition, full of ice buildup, and the pans in the kitchen were bent and barely usable. Even the TV cable didn’t work.
The corridor had a very unpleasant smell, almost like mold, which made entering and leaving the apartment uncomfortable. Overall cleanliness and upkeep were clearly neglected.
The only positive aspect of the stay was the air conditioning, which worked well and was much needed in the summer heat.
With some real upgrades in cleaning, furniture, and maintenance, this place could be much better—but as it stands now, I cannot recommend it.
